AMS makes some crazy fast GTRs! But they’re not cheap… I think there turbo kit for the R8 V10 is $40k (no trans work, engine work, or supporting mods)…

Yup… I was looking at that package when I was considering a 997. I must say the upgrade package AMS offers for $26k will make your 997 into a monster! It’s probably the best value package around for the 997…
I wanted them to do the install as well and the all in price ended up being a bit high imo. Also, the package had just been released when I contacted them so it was still TBD how reliable it proved to be.

I’m betting their software and hardware will be more expensive than current offerings, but will sell well based on their reputation.

Any plans fo rthe 4.2 R8? I think that’s an interesting car. Sounds great, better price, insanely strong engine.
p.s. anyone know what differences there are between the pistons on the R8 4.2 vs R8 5.2?
AMS started with EVO’s, morphed into GTR’s then started with the AMG’s and P cars and is now tapping into the Audi market.
I’d assume they will tackle the 5.2 since it is probably a better market for them to sell to. (Although they’ll have stiff competition from UGR/Heffner etc.)
They have a great rep though and love to prove their performance parts actually perform. They hold a ton of records in the standing 1/2 mile and mile events. They are working on an Alpha 16+ package for the latest GTR models :o. They already cracked 7’s in their shop GTR. Crazy.
I don’t know if there is for sure but I bet there is. Would be interesting to find out what the differences are. Anyone know the CR for the Audi 5.2?

they (AMS) were at byron when I was running my 11.6’s Someone came up to me and starting asking a lot of questions. Not sure if it was someone from AMS, but my car was getting a lot of attention beating up on the 2 M5’s that day. I now their GTR’s are the fastest I have ever seen. Pretty sure they just beat the 1 mile top speed record for GTR’s also.
Hahaha… I still love that a B8 S4 is beating down new F10 M5’s!!!
Anyway, As far as I know Switzer’s Goliath (customers car in Europe) has the 1 mile record at 400kph
The scary part is that version of Goliath is not the most powerful one. The most powerful one is up North here in Canada (another customers car)! Can’t wait until they let that sucker loose…
