Well fellas, I installed my JHM IM this weekend, so I had to get out to the track this week. The weather was amazing, and I ran some decent times. Below are my times and the links to my best time slips.

Only new mod was my manifold, still on stock clutch and flywheel, and to be honest it still feels great.

I ran the first 2 runs right after I pulled into the track after a 25 min drive, I needed to get the nerves out and my mind straight, car felt good though and I knew she had it in her.

Ya man, I knew the DA was going to be killer, so I had to get out there tonight! It’s pointless to run down here in the summer with 1000% humidity and 90 degrees+ all the damn time.

of course like always the damn announcer was a retard, I drove a A3, A7, who knows what else. I’m gonna get a special sign for my trunk next time I go back!!

I think with great weather like tonight and the STG4 clutch and LWFW, I can break that 12.70…only time will tell. I have the funds, but it’s gonna be a little while before any other parts come…mostly because I am making some career moves and may need the cash available for food and shelter…lol

Oh and you and v8ryan have the two fastest all motor non-header times. Important because headers is a big job and you boys are doing it with bolt ons that don’t require pulling the engine. Absolutely earth shattering as you have a record - fastest ever stock clutch time!

Seriously though, you and v8ryan have two very strong cars and you are both headed in the right direction. Next up you should definitely look into some light weight wheels, that should really help you get the most out of your current setup and really get you moving.

Cant wait to see your car with headers and lightweight wheels down the road, you should be threatening 12.4-5’s all motor which is seriously quick

Wicked awesome times. Seriously impressive. Couple questions. Were you using LA? If not what RPM were you launching at? How many miles on your stock clutch?

I should be getting to the strip in a couple weeks and am hoping to get into the 12’s as well.

Yes all launch assist, but the less time you hold it, the better the launch IMHO. A few times I held it a little to long, but on my 1.78 60’ I engaged the LA and held for a split second and the car came off the line like a rocket.

Stock clutch 62,000 miles

Good luck on your track experience, make sure you get the nerves out and each run will get better…just watch out for that damn ESP!! I shut my car down in line while some 1/8th mile cars were running and completely forget to turn it off when I fired the car back up…hence my awesome 1.9…13.4 run… :o

it’s funny…remember how impossible it seemed to get a b6/7 into the 12s? I mean ask 91GL…he had headers, was catless, had LW parts etc…and he never accomplished it.

Then jaybquick from JHM did it.

Before too long, Cabracco did it. Jfunkey did it. I did it.

The floodgates weren’t opened but they cracked and some of us were squeaking through (just not 91GL…he was still stuck in the 13s)

Now a year later we have a few more guys in the 12s with just some simple bolt on parts. They’ve added 5-7 MPH to their trap speeds and taken a full second off the stock 1/4 ET.

Who said NA cars weren’t tunable?

(probably 91GL…he bought a supercharger for his b6 to get out of the 13s…then bought a GTI 2.0 turbo…then bought a B8 S4 3.0 supercharged lol)

are you powershifting? or just quick shifts with the clutch in and foot off gas?
