[QUOTE=Tony@EPL]There will be a release thread shortly. The stage 1 product is in many cars and I personally drove on it for 10k+ miles. Stage 2 is still in beta but is being flashed on customer cars in the tri-state area.
Currently ecus must be sent in for 1 bench flash and remote updates are available through the obd2 port if custom tuning is necessary/desired!
Current retail is 1149, but we will likely be doing a release special. All ecus include free overnight saver return shipping in the continental US.

Wonder what kind of data they will provide in the launch thread besides dyno numbers.
Im beginning to think epl really dosent know how to tune all that well. Generally im not critical of them but every car they tune they talk about custom tuning and really these cars are not the 13year old b5. Giac apr have blistering fast cars with no need for custom tuning…I just dont get it…

Wow nice! Been busy the last few days so haven’t been keeping up with all the stuff… Will do some reading at lunch… That’s a great time and mph… Funny they switched tuners… Thanks for the heads up…
Come on Arin get me my damn blower already… I want to go low 11’s ;D
Looks like they need a driver mod maybe, but yeah 11.3 @ 126 is pretty stout. Especially if it was on pump gas as people have indicated. The TTS/MRC RS4 in the UK went 11.4 @ 125.
If you watch the video of both runs, you see that they didn’t really cut very good 60’ times or powershift. There’s easily 2 tenths left on the table. I can’t wait to see the TVSr1740 on the RS5. With DSG that car will be pretty incredible.
That’s pretty awesome. I’ve been following that thread and was wondering when they’d post the times. So EPL was the original tuner for AMD and then got dropped w/o anyone knowing? Is this the first you guys are hearing that United Motorsports replaced them?
I suggested to AMD’s psychotic owner tha tthe EPL tuning may be why the AMD cars dyno 4 bazillion whp, then run like shit at the strip when everyone is watching. I suggested the same thing to jonathan at AVIVA, the company AMD partnered with on the RS4 kit.
Jason shrugged me off as a hater :). I guess that’s why his 650 whp superstars run 12.3 @ 128 in the quarter mile…he is too stupid/stubborn to look at the big picture, choosing instead to wage a 5 year long war against the quarter mile. His popularity among the vacuum headed B5 kids who worship the dyno meant his ‘the quarter mile is a terrible test with too many variables’ mantra became the mantra of the entire platform.
When he tried to sell 4.2 product, he found out that they would need a timeslip to be respected. As part of that process, they dumped EPL’s tune on the big show car (this is the one and only full car with intercooling and upgraded fuelling…their ‘test car’, a customer’s RS4 lol).
So United Motorsport got the call and thye ran a good time. Hopefully they share more info here.
And epl is a dealer for united motorsports per um website. So which is it? An epl tune or a um tune? May depend on dsg or mt from what I can see on the um site.
Your thread started out to discuss AMD’s b7 rs4 accomplishment or epl getting into the b8 tuning realm?
I am simply curious as to thoughts with regard to epl being a dealer of um…in addition to responding to your thread topic of epl tuning the b8.
In no way trying to be confusing. Just comes as a surprise to me that epl is a dealer of any tuning besides there own. Not sure many folks would venture to guess that. Maybe its just me that finds it odd?
