Any performance data yet from ASP to back up their guerilla marketing?

That parade of threads on quattrofail, audizoo and audiworld a few months ago from BPP and his partner in crime DRgp was a bit nauseating. They started threads on all the sites, generally from DrGP so he would look like an interested third party and said ‘Got a ride in BPP’s ASP stage 2 car and it’s amazing!’…and ‘we were hunting M3s down all night’ etc.

These guys are a couple of 60+ year olds. Clearly they were hunting fuck all down, other than a free tune and pulley in exchange for filling the forums with propaganda, especially the forums where ASP is banned (how fucked is that…ASP is banned from AZ and AW for dirty business, yet people still get fooled into listening to these guys lol)

So…primetime offered to pay for their trip to the dragstrip…but no takers. In fact they vehemently and aggressively shot the idea of the dragstrip down, explaining they are ‘road course guys’. Good for you…we just want to see if the thing is fast or not, and since they’re making all kinds of unfounded claims on behalf of banned Mark at ASP, maybe they would like to put their money where their mouth is. Or put primetime’s money.

So, has ANYONE heard ANYTHING from these guys as far as performance testing? 1/4 mile? 60-130 or other pbox verified data? Independant dyno even?

Nada, nothing, zippo, zilch… BPP and DrGP are too busy worrying about their post status on Quattrofail… They are two of the top overall posters and make posts just to get their counts up… I’m serious too…

I haven’t heard of anyone else using this tune/tune pulley so if someone is out there my offer still stands… They can use my cable for logging, I’ll cover their track fees and gas for that matter… Anyone??? lol

On a side note Revo has gone quiet lately… Wonder why… I did see an article that mentioned a DSG tune by Revo/Stasis so will see how that progresses… Given how they tune and how well my stock DSG works I won’t buy a DSG tune unless it is someone like HPA or APR…

yeah, your DSG is a great example of not needing a tune. The weird hiccups some guys had might just be a safety thing the car does…and turning it off (if that’s the biggest ‘beinefficientit’ of a tune) doesn’t sound worth it or smart for that matter.

Birdman86 got the ASP tune/pulley, and then blew his clutch up. That was in August, so his new clutch should be broken in, but I saw them all posting that they wouldn’t go to the strip because the car makes too much power and can’t handle launching.

Guess I made a mistake when I entered 50 different tuned B8 S4 quarter mile times here…those must have been some other car!

Ahhh good old mark at AnotherStolenProduct

Talk about scams… this is the same company that openly admitted to stealing tunes off customers cars to see if they were safe

Not only that but the small list of v8guys that were dum enough to goto asp all said the same thing. Mark wouldnt stoptalking about how he gave them a discount but they needed to go online and say how grest the tune or car was. Even when somwguys werenot impressed with the work or tune

wow primetime…those post stats are mental

that guy rksticar is a joke. He’s another old retired guy who will do ANYTHING to avoid facing facts.

30,000 posts in one year? How the fuck do you do that? I think I post here a lot and have like 3000 posts a year. Multiply me by 10…jesus.

What’s really interesting to see is that the B5 S4 forum on quattrofail is dying a slow death. Someone should chart the various post counts over the years for the forum and the subforums. I reckon of those ‘1.6 million’ posts, 99% of them are in the ‘off topic’ section.

The whole ASP hero group are awful…will do anything but talk facts. It’s really creepy.

It’s a fucking geritol chugging freakshow over there on quattrofail. They’re terrified of you primetime. For someone like me when I blast them with facts, they can just say ‘you were banned from xyz forum so your facts don’t count’. But when primetime, just about the nicest and least controversial guy on the forums asks them for some info, they literally shrivel and shrink like old cocks in a cold pool.

I wouldn’t mind having the increased shifting pressures of a DSG tune. Also having better control using the M mode…frankly it stinks on the racetrack…it doesn’t downshift until the next gear RPMs are under 6000, and its thus hard to keep a shift count in your head if you dint know if it will shift based on your command…holding RPMs to be able to bounce off the limiter would be nice at the track. And being able to launch at 5000 RPMs with some decay would be handy (proof of how handy is shown clearly in the RS5 dragstrip times Arin did - compare the ETs to the traps - its ridiculous). Pre-staging downshifts could be a cool feature, but not likely in the cards…

Saki x 10? Hahahahha that had me laughing… madness

As far as ASP goes, I only wanted to know the pulley specs…that 6500 rpm pulley would come in handy to the 2013 guys who only see that much RPM

I actually helped Birdman86 replace his clutch. Didn’t really do any hard work but supervise with helpful advice. They had most of it done by the time that I got there.

One of the things that they noticed while replacing the clutch was that the passenger side engine mount bracket bolt heads were sheared off. Which means the engine was only being held in place on one side. It was also making a lot of noise after they were done because everything moved from removing the transmission. So much for the road course being easier on the car.

why doesn’t someone call and ask them directly.

Let us know what you hear!

;D

.
It’s all top secret shhhhh

Their solid billet crank pulley from the b6/7 S4 supercharger always made me laugh.

The b6/7 S4 crank is externally balanced… And the pulley is the key to it. Asp missed that and just used a solid pulley. Beemercer pointed it out in like four seconds after looking at a photo of the asp car with the bumper off. Not surprisingly the supposed monster asp supercharged b6/7 S4 was never tested or proven. Despite claims they would show us all up for doubting them lol. You just have to go to their shop. I believe someone from az did ages ago and got loads of excuses about why they couldn’t run it for him. But he could look at it lol.

Their 12 second 700 whp b5 was awesome too.

I asked the knobs on audifail to provide me with ANYTHING noteworthy an asp audi had accomplished…and they were stumped. Couldn’t say anything. Drgp, bpp, and the other guy… Used to have a B6 s4…is it 2putt? Useless.

Then there’s ram the moderator on quattrofail running around protecting them whenever anyone calls them out, deleting posts and hidng threads. He was questioned for his bias, and denied he had any connection to asp.

Unfortunately he didn’t realise many people from old school audi world are still around…and remembered he used to post using a ram@asp account on audi world (back before ASP was banned lol). He also worked in their shop, worked their booth at water rest and other shows lol.

This is not a good company.

Anyone know what an asp is?

I know what asp is…another stolen product…lets not forget the b6s4 they tuned where his throttle was all wacky and the car never ran right…asp blamed and bashed the guy…only to have the customer switch to a jhm tune and whouldnt u known it…the throttle workes and his csr ran great w8th nothing but a jhm tune change

Another stolen product that’s funny. For anyone to be able to successfully release B8 S4 software this late in the game, they have to have one extraordinary product at a great price. Only the clueless uneducated consumer will stray from the big guys with their tried and true results over the years. I have driven the Eurocode S4 from the 2007 Eurotuner GP many many times. I have driven the shit out of that car and it ran very well, but I guess that might have been an exception. I’m sure it also helped that, that car was only tuned for VP 109 and only ran 104 octane for many years while David daily drove it.

Credit where credit is due…eurocode has been a top name and top shop for a while…the crew over there could make old gm parts run strong on a audi

Hmmm… Weren’t you Revo tuned?

So you strayed… Revo is tiny… Does that mean you’re clueless and uneducated? Jspazz also ‘strayed’. Is he also clueless and uneducated?

If jhm released a tune today for the B8 and I had an APR or giac tuned car I would switch. Immediately. Guess I too would be clueless and uneducated.

For a minute I thought you said if JHM released a tune tune for the B8, you would switch to the B8. Lol.

That’s what I read too…seems he left some wiggle room there

Excellent car but doesn’t make me want one in any way. I like the look of the front end, and the interior size and tech is decent…so I bought a B8 A4 Avant. Far more effective to me. To throw some of the B8 S4 guys’ ammunition back at them, the 2.0T is worlds more efficient (light years) and is way lighter. It is also only about $7,000 in mods to murder a B8 S4, with APR stage 4. Why would anyone looking for a small displacement forced induction B8 chassis car that makes bad sounds opt for the S4??? B8 A4 offers sedan and avant. To that end, I don’t know why they whine about not having a B8 S4 Avant over here. Get the A4 s-line (absolutely identical to the S4) 2.0T and go stage 3 or 4 APR.

I quite like my RS4. If it was stolen yesterday and I needed a new car today, I’m sure I’d drive a B8 S4 again (as I did when I was selling my B7 S4), but frankly I don’t see myself buying one. Just not for me. I do however recommend them to just about everyone who asks me for a good all around car recommendation.

Well that’s a different case. Gary Cogis who was the head of North American operations for Revo at the time is a good friend of mine and a great guy, I knew him from when he used to work at Race Technology’s. My car took 6-7 months to come in because of the color. During the time it took for my car to get here, Gary would always tell me he had a tune coming out for the B8 and I promised him I would get it on my car as soon as I get my car. Well we tuned my car with only 500-600 miles on the ODO and we did a same day before and after dyno.

So you’re still smart, but jspazz is clueless and uneducated? Or is he exempt because he is e-friends with you and you are friends with someone who worked at REVO?

So why the switch to APR then? knock knock… who’s there… knock knock?
