p.s. I thought it was funny that after we called him a stancetard for his aggressive offset 10.5" wheels and 275 tires, everyone freaked out on us…and now a few months later, he has ditched those wheels and has 10.0 and 265 tires…no longer stancetard. Looks like his 16 PSI mod is kicking in with that smoke though.
Apparently your a god if you have fat pockets and throw a ton of mods at your car. Screw the fact that you just learned how to use vagcom last week.
Someone to tell him to join over here, he can discuss the issues that he makes up in his head. Most of those issues were from stories he heard on Quattroworld from guys like Mick. He prefers to stick up for companies like PES and align himself with guys like BenSTlie, people who have been caught blatantly liying in the past. Even some of them have apologized for making up lies.
This guys can’t be serious…
However I changed wheels for the new season, cant be wearing the same shoes year after year
He might’ve went from 19x10.5 on 275s to narrower 10" width and 265s, but the new ones are 20"
I think 19s are perfect on RS4s, no need to go larger, it just looks a bit off…
Fuckin aye! I met him but didn’t know who he was! (I’ve never really paid attention to his car, and I figured since he was a NE guy that he wouldn’t be at SOWO). His car was at the APR tent and as I walked by one day, he was wiping the dust off it. I stopped to talk to him a second, funniest part was I straight out asked him (not knowing who he was) if he had any issue passing emissions or if he had heard of that happening to anyone. His straight face response was that he hadn’t heard of any issues and that he’d always passed fine as well as his fellow APR s/c friends. Lol, too good, I’m just pissed I didn’t realize who it was, or else I could of had a lot of fun with it.
Yea exactly. This was at Sowo, so ~may 20th, right when the AZ thread about the guy not passing with the 1320 kit was completely blowing up and FT was posting in the thread.
I could tell my question kinda made him shuffle around a bit; and I mentioned the AZ thread (again, not knowing who he was) and he stayed steadfast in the fact that no, he hadn’t heard of any emission issues and that he had no problems with either his 1320 or 1740 kit.
I didn’t get the friendliest vibe though (even prior to the questioning) so our conversation was limited to one 5-10 min stint. Definitely felt like it was an RS4 elites issue in the flesh which shocked me considering you drove quite a ways to be at an Audi/VW car show lol.
I will say though, those euro seats with the red stitching were hot! The RS4’s just look do great in person.
Oh man lets not associate one of the greatest bands in history with this douche nozzle. That is enough to ruin my day. Now if you are just clowning on all geeks liking Geddy Lee and his mates then I am alright with that…
But seriously this guy is a complete fake. He is not a true enthusiast in any sense of the word. Maddogs dealings with him pretty much sum it up…holier then thou attitude, dishonest, and unfriendly.
No, it was a tall medium built thinner dude. But if the pictures posted earlier by FT were from Sowo at the APR tent last month, then that’s definitely the car I saw and the guy who I talked to claimed to be the owner as well as had the keys for it. He said his buddy was the one with the silver RS4 (that I posted in another thread that had the 1320 kit) and I was pretty sure that guy claimed to of had the 1320 and then upgraded to current 1740 bc he said he gives the silver rs4 a hard time for not jumping up to the big boy kit.
Side note saki, is that picture you posted in one of the APR threads actually FT? I thought that was just some hilarious picture you found of what you guessed FT looked like. Bc if that’s him, it’s def not the guy I talked to.
I’m sorry if I got the wrong guy, or someone just lied acting to be the owner. I’m just going off who I talked to and the car I saw at Sowo last month.
Be quiet. It’s amusing watching them go in circles talking about FT when the person who “had the conversation with him” doesn’t even know who FT is.lmao
Because it’s fun posting the truth about people who share misinformation. That’s the beauty of this site.
We’re all just waiting for him to come to AR and post his concerns about JHM so that they can be addressed, methodically and factually. He claims he signed up, so here we sit.
Truth is he isn’t interested in facts. He isn’t interested in anything other than promoting APR to justify his deal, and attacking their competitors.
He makes claims about JHM parts, then cites examples where the OWNERS OF THE FUCKING CARS are refuting his claims. Does he listen? No, because it suits his (and APR’s) agenda.
“JHM blew NY07RS4’s motor” - actually no, his motor never blew. He had smoke issues that began before his tune and while still under warranty, his dealership problem solved by replacing heads, then replacing the short block. At no time did his motor blow, and at no time did his tune cause him an issue. In fact, after he broke in his NEW engine, he put the JHM tune back on it. He refutes all of flytoms claims.
“JHM blew that guy in Long Island’s motor” - actually no, the guy had a mechanical failure after 2 years of running the unitronic tune. If the JHM tune had checked the box for ‘cause major mechanical failure’ wouldn’t it happen to the 150 or so RS4s running the tune? Of course it would. Simply put, we have seen a couple dozen or so bone stock cars have major mechanical failures. Funniest part was the customer put a new engine and stock ecu in, and THAT motor blew. Then he had a 3rd motor installed.
“JHM’s rotors crack” - actually no. BenSTlie claimed his JHM LWFR cracked at the track. Fact is stock Brembo rotors all show stress cracks in them after a certain age. A rotor cracking isn’t headline news…especially when JHM posted that BenSTlie NEVER BOUGHT JHM ROTORS. Further, the irony is that FlyTom runs JHM rotors on his own car.
“JHM’s pulleys throw belts” - actually, no. Hundreds of customers have the JHMLWCP on their B67 S4s and B7 RS4s. Literally hundreds. We have seen 2 I believe who had problems. That in itself is acceptable as a rub of the green problem rate. Of course he ignores that. When you look deeper, JHM bought back both of those pulleys from TonyRS4 and Daytona. They installled Tony’s pulley on their in house RS4, and had no problems after thousands of miles. They then sold it second hand at a reduced price to a customer who has had it for a year now, and is happy with it. Installer issue as usual. Tony should know better. He installed his stock pulley on his car on his own. He should have done the same with the JHM pulley (he outsourced the job to an independant shop who from the looks of it didn’t follow instructions unfortunately)
