I would go a4 turbo, so u have both worlds RS supercharged and a4 DD and quick!
if i go b7 ill have to go high km, like 240,000ish to get a decent price.
i had a b6 1.8t last year for winter but it caught fire and was written off.

i have no idea. all burned from the rear from the tranny up the firewall. insurance took one look and wrote it off.

Vote for a4 as well. 2.0 or 1.8. If something goes wrong with the V8, youāll be shaking your head.
Timing belt is cheaper than timing chains, especially with the S4 and higher mileage if that is what you are considering. Besides, the little turbo is fun to spool as you know since you had one. Different feel from the RS.

at least gas is cheap while driving the truck. filled the tank for 60 bucks! 85 cents a litre is my best so far.

I had been driving my truck while I had my car sitting at my shop. I found a small station on a backroad by my house that was selling diesel for $1.89 / gal. First and probably last time Iāll fill my truck for 45 bucks.

Diesel prices will fall soon to reflect the recent slide in crude oil. Just be patient. Many more $45 fills are in your future.
I would really hold out for the A4 not a 1.8 lol. Look for a private owned high mileage automatic. If itās not chipped you should be Iām good shape. After all its hard to beat on a automatic. Its Easy To Rag on a manual car.
I found a 3.0 a4 for 4200 that looks good 180k km on it all timing, pulleys, guides and water pump just done. but clutch is on the way out. what am I loookin at for a clutch on the v6

I was looking at the 3.0 a4 for my girlfriend and saw it on their website
I went and looked at the 3.0 the add was miss leading. The car had a cel and air bag light and I got the impression a lot of other things were pieced together. Might have been in an accident. So Iām not buying it

i ended up buying a g35. I had my bike for sale on kijiji and was contacted by a dealer that wanted my bike and said he would do a straight trade or trade plus cash for whatever I wanted. he had an E55 I fell in love with but he had promised it to a friend first. he also had a black on back 6 spd cts-v but I couldnāt wrap my head around buying it I just didnāt like it. I always wanted a g35 so I decided to trade my bike plus 4k for the G. im very happy with it its exactly what I was looking for. fun, fast, and probably the easiest thing to drift out there. the ass end steps out frequently but is easily recovered or just leave your foot into it and power through it. the car feels very light and nimble and is surprisingly predictable considering the wheel base. smiles per gallon are plenty. the car itself in a practical sense is useless. its too small for anything and the trunk is a fucking joke. I would never have bought one If it had to be my only vehicle.
had some crappy Chinese shit summer rubber on it and the car was literally undriveable in the snow I through some used snow tires on and its worlds better even with a 255 tire. I also just got it tinted and tossed on some good wipers. thatās the extent of the mod list for this car lol.
all in all im happy. my wifes happy because I got rid of the bike and this exactly what I need until I can get back in my RS.
