Anything interesting going on around here?

are those V12? Lots of guys run the V12 on varoius cars.

RS3

Funny thing is I can get the dw for $170 in my prefered size and the pss are $240. More like 30% price diff but the pss have a $70 rebate bringing them down to 220ish. I already have the dw on another set of 19" wheels. Figure I’ll try something new.

My post, yes

Officially completed my order/choice. Went with the Michelin. Should be here on Wednesday.

I run the PSS’s for daily use and have no complaints, fwiw.

Nice. Good to know. They sure do look and from what I’ve read to be a great Max summer option. If I lose 8 hundredths at the strip, so be it.

Another +1 for the PSS which is the real successor to the PS2. The light weight helps me get them in and out of the basement! Grip in wet and dry is good.

I’ve never tried them at the strip though. (My issue with the flat that scuppered me last year was due to a bent rim, not a tire issue)

Looking fwd to them. Matched to the 17 pound rpf1 wheels should make for a nice setup. Another reason I was deciding between the conti dw and these aside from price point is the dw are even 2 lbs lighter.

Unfortunately! The 18x9 rpf1 wheels will not clear shit aside from stock calipers (I have st40’s) Disappointing to say the least.

Will be lugging the bbs ch lead weights down the track with all seasons. Should be interesting. All new to me so still looking fwd to it. Need to buy a damn 41.1 sfi approved helmet though…

best looking wheel.

is Sac really giving you shit for a helmet rating? Are you sure? They late Jason run 10.8 @ 131 without a frigging roll bar , let alone the required roll cage, so I reckon they’re pretty slack there. They let you stand on the track and film from right behind the cars lol.

They care about helmets and jackets. Usually cages too but it depends on the day. I have been kicked out of there for the cage rule twice.

Again, all new to me. From what I have read I need that helmet rating/approval, long pants, closed toe, long sleeves. Nothing about a jacket though. I will NOT be going sub 11.5 so cage should not be an issue.

Just don’t want to drive the 2.5 hours one way only to get turned away.

Tried to get pinoy and dan to join me but looking more n more like it will be me and my girlfriend. So I can have her on the track filming? Really? Prolly just have do it from the stands.

You will need a sfi approved fire jacked on any turbo car. Half the time with the s4 the inspector won’t even realize it has turbos but not worth the wasted drive like you said. Summit has rci brand ones for about $100

Give me a little heads up when you plan to go and I can try and make it out.

Planned on going this weekend. Might need to wait and gather more swag.

I appreciate the heads up and offer to meet up. Really would be more fun and interesting with a few experienced guys around.

It will allow me more time to acquire needed items like helmet, jacket, and more lightweight wheels that will actually fit my car (looking at mt1’s from tire rack) Just kind of itchin to run this car but I guess I should wait? Might still go up on Saturday though. I am sure I will be hooked and want to go many more times. Saturdays in winter and spring work better for me than Friday nights in the summer.

Potenza RE-11

nothing else for me, period.

^^^heavy but effective. I have the RE01R on my A4 Avant.

Nor-Cal Nationals this weekend at sac. Guessing the track is closed to public runs. Email to confirm sent…

Guys, pray with me that it doesn’t rain tomorrow. Headed to Sacramento! Cherry poppin runs here I come. Any predictions?

What’s your modlist again?

The da was +1000 feet today midday so if it’s similar tomorrow it will be tough to break records.
