Hey Adam what gear was he in? And did you do any other pulls? The z has some crazy gearing. If he was in second or third at the start that would explain the lead you got on him.

From a 40 roll they are best in first gear if you can believe it. Although they may spin if so.

He was in second gear because this started at 60mph. And the other race that was a 40 roll he started in first. I think he can drive very well his c5 z06 ran 11.60s bone stock so he is no slouch. And as you guys put it I can’t drive Soo

Nice run on the Z06 as they are no slouches, but I’m a little confused. In the video I can hear you rowing through 3 gears and letting off at 120ish which would indicate to me you started in 2nd gear and let off at top of 4th. To clarify, what speed did you guys start at in the video?

From your previous threads it’s pretty much understood you are on an older tune that was too rich and you need a final tune to make full use of your setup. However, can you also make one statement as ‘final’ to what your current tune is? You stated on AZ you can race anyone at 24psi no higher, then a claim you insta spool your RS6s to 22 psi and another where your AFR’s are down pat at 20psi, but your video says “rich” with 10:1 AFR. For any others following it’s hard to make a comparison if you’ve got many variants of tune status throwing around.

Ok mike at vast tuned the car for a 23 psi spike hold 22psi this is when the car had stock uppers no rs4 parts 2.5 inch down pipes and 3 inch exhaust. 83lbs injectors no fuel lines ect…

When I rebuilt the heads on this car after melting a valve from a clogged injector i changed to all rs4 uppers and 1300cc injectors fuel lines rails ect. the tune remaind the same all i did is turned to boost down to spike 20 hold 18psi thats where it sits now on the old vast tune. from 2500-7k it is at 10.0 afr it leans out at 7200-8200 to about 10.9 -11.0 I have yet to hook up the dual bosh 044s to the fuel rails yet. so my guess is the single bosch 044 simply cannot keep up and thats where the car is making power up stairs and where the afr is down pat is in the upper rpms. This is my first time beating on the car personally everything else was going off what my buddy alex/mechanic was telling me as he has been daily driving it to break in the heads!

Also Im calling out any audi s4/ rs4 in the state of michigan that goes for John with the old vast tubular 2.8L car with the over the head rams horn vast/ kurt manifolds or gil at vast or hunters yellow wagon i will race any of them on my low boost BS tune right now. Any dumpter 4.2L rs4 supercharged or anything bring them out tonight IM hungry for some v8s

Of course im going to be posting videos every weekend end until something breaks on this car. it will race every weekend until the snow falls… I know sexicans 500whp+ 29psi dump got walked on by a stoc c6 z06 so im not to concerned about any s4 other then VR6 swapped ones… But with the cars out this year there is now no doubt in my mind i will be doing a 3.6L VR6 turbo I should have a complete engine in the next week or two!

You got me thinking. Part of me after yesterday was utterly defeated. Thought to myself no more time or money spent on this car. BUT, next mods to include aquamist hfs-3 to help cooling and CA91 and 3" dps mated to a 3.5" single and I will be back to the track to see what I can do. Looking fwd to it! Hopefully another benchmark set for my dd b5 s4. Nothing out of ordinary really just necessary supporting mods to up the fun factor. MAYBE new smics but will most likely stick with the awe’s

If you already have dual 2.5", why would you switch to single 3.5"? You’re not going to gain performance (nor likely ground clearance).

your exhaust should be more than enough. Don’t spend any money on the aquamist, or on an exhaust for now. Save the money for a new clutch setup, just in case your clutch goes. If it didn’t slip at your last outing, don’t beat on your car, just drive it regular for now. See if you can get one, or two of your friends to go to the track with you. Leave your girl home, because she will be a distraction.

Launch your car above 4500rpm and haul ass. I’m willing to bet you $50 that you will run a better time.

If you spend a load of money on an exhaust and your car doesn’t do well, you will be real upset. It will make you feel like there is nothing else in your power to improve your times. Shit, even launch it at 5000rpm if you want. 1st gear is short and you want to make the best of the power band.

Take it to the track one more time before you fork out any extra money.

So just 3" dp? Mated to dual 2.5 exhaust. Been told by more than one trusted member/tuner that I will gain over current setup with single 3.5 and 3 dp. Pissing in the wind?

Sound advice. In all honesty I have never blown a clutch in my life. Pretty responsible and mellow driver with regard to launching and light to light driving. Need to further assess just how much life is left in my current setup.

I just read that you were launching at 3 grand. That didn’t help you at all. I launch my car close to 5 grand next time. Also take the time to watch other at the track to get an idea of how they are doing it. Practice makes perfect and you can always learn from others. Run it again the way it is please. You will do better.

I will make it a personal promise to go to sac next time you plan on going if you give me at least 4 days notice. I will help ypu get a better time. I am sure it has a ton more in it.
