did you ask why the R8 crashed with Michelin tires?
speaking of…one of my Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires has a frigging nail in it. Had to buy a replacement as it was in the sidewall.
Which R8 was it? Is there a link/post somewhere? Not disputing, just curious (I may have missed it).

So it does look like APR used GRD’s as well as FT’s car for their 1740 RS4 SC development. I thought for some reason that they had an in-house car which they didn’t.
Well the timeline looks bad for GRD and it is puzzling why they still have not received their vehicle back, even with blown engines along the way.
Nov 18th 2013 APR releases video of GRD’s RS4 at the drag strip
Nov 22nd 2013 Flying Tomatoes picks up his RS4 from APR. I didn’t see any further posts indicating that he had to bring it back.
Jan 6th 2014 APR releases its Stage 3 supercharger kit
Since then… nothing. You don’t see the car in any of the APR photo galleries for the distributor conference (also checked dealer pages to see if it was there), SoWo, and Waterfest.
At this point, it’s been 10 months. A blown motor doesn’t take 10 months to fix. Two blown motors do not take 10 months to fix… what’s going on?

You of all people should love it. It is to prevent trolls and anyone in general signing up and shooting off their mouth, then undoing what they said. It has tripped a bunch of people up badly.
If you follow Dave’s posts for a while, you’ll find he likes to make definitive “insider-info” statements like this when in fact he has ZERO idea what APR pays us (a lot less actually). 
In fact, if APR stopped paying us tomorrow, our site would continue on just fine. I’ve had more than my share of “animated” phone calls with Keith and other from APR over the years complaining about users. In fact Dave they used to complain about you when you were pimping another chip tuners stuff hardcore and throwing APR under the bus all the time. All of a sudden you were APR’s fan-boy extrodinare and now you’re back to throwing them under the bus? Kinda hard to follow all the flip-flopping… 
Like I said in our conversation Dave, I don’t get why one person appears to be so fanatically interested in “insider-info” like you are. Other than some kind of virtual bragging rights in forums like this, it is almost unhealthy my friend.

Jamie claims to have talked to Mangrove and believes that the situation at APR is just fine. He is entitled to his opinion but chooses not to share any of their claims with the rest of the community.

I choose not to share specifics because it isn’t my place to share that information. However I have posted the main point that they have a plan and it isn’t to shut APR down. This is APR’s deal and they can answer to it when they are ready.

I enjoy his obsession. We’ve learned quite a bit about APR, and its been confirmed by an APR employee (ex employee?) .
I agree APR isn’t down for the count, but I think its important to know the deeper truth, and thats something that APR won’t give you, thats the kind of stuff that you need someone like crew to help you with.

It’s also important to know why they are pulling products and refusing to help customers with “older” hardware…and tanking some of their supercharger kits.
I’m sure someone already said this, but who wants to do business with a company who refuses to pay DISTRIBUTORS? Do you really think if Joe Blow has an issue APR will give two fucks? No they will tell him to fuck off, like we have already seen (APR TVS1320 readiness issues)
Look at GRD, they still don’t have a running car…APR used them, whored their car out on the hailmary dragstrip passes with their backyard EVO tuner and may never return their car.
