Ouch, I got word that the sheriff’s department was sent to dirtydub’s home on friday evening, the night before the APR BBQ after having a telephone conversation earlier that day with Kyle. shakeshead
crew - do you know if GRD is still even in business? Their website has been down for ages, and the shop itself left a lot to be desired (they are local to me). There was talk about them moving to a new location, but I don’t think that ever happened. I’m surprised they ever had sufficient assets to afford an RS4.
Yep, pretty much. Dirtydub was a former APR employee who started his own upholstery and detailing shop. APR used him exclusively for detailing and show prep services and he’s been having troubles getting paid for work done from Waterfest 2014. He’s been posting about APR on his personal Facebook page and finally had a call with Kyle Wright @ Mangrove/APR on Friday. It didn’t go well. Since dirtydub’s Facebook mentioned getting the Lee County Sheriff’s department involved, it looks as if APR beat him to the punch and contacted them first, in case he was going to make an appearance at the BBQ this past Saturday.
On that note, I still do not believe that they’ve paid him the amount that is owed.
Correct. According to my neighbors, they saw a cop walking around our house Friday night while we were out to dinner. They said he walked all around our house and my Volkswagen with an led flashlight for roughly 10 minutes. APR does in fact still owe me money for detailing services and work they agreed to perform on my car before they completely botched the deal (surprise, surprise). Arin has also attempted to hack my FB and email accounts 5 times in the last week. That’s when I lost it and contacted Mangrove directly, in Florida. Kyle later contacted me telling me that I was basically full of crap and that nobody was in the building at 10:40 and 10:49pm CST so that this was a matter outside of APR that he refused to address. I explained to him that current APR employees had even warned me that Arin had been hacking computers and accounts, both internally and alike. He refused to believe that so I sent a follow up email showing one of at least a dozen screenshots pointing to Arin as the guilty party. Regardless, Kyle saw me as a threat for the BBQ and sent a cop to my house for no other reason but to harass me.
So they refuse to pay for services rendered, complete my car as agreed upon in the deal, have a tool of “a marketing guy” hack me 5 times and then have the balls to call the police on me??? Nothing has happened since then, but I’m meeting with my attorney tomorrow to discuss possible avenues to take regarding everything that they have attempted with me.
I don’t understand… Why would the police go to your house.
"Hi police? Yeah hi Apr here. We are an audi tuning company, and this guy was mean to us on the Internet, so could you please waste one of your officer’s time and have him go attempt an illegal search on the guys residence and vehicle?
"sure APR… We will most certainly abandon his constitutional rights, risk our reputation, and do so since you called so nicely "
This is exactly what I’d like to know! I’m highly educated on my rights and even know a few local officers here so even if we had been home, I assure you, there wouldn’t have been any searches of our residence or vehicle. APR had 2 former police officers working for them now. One from the Opelika area that I’ve known for years and the other from the Newnan, GA area. I’m sure they were involved in calling in a “favor.” Pissed us off beyond belief, but only because they chose to take it to that level, when if anyone should be going that route, it should be me against them.
