BFG is owned by Michelin. APR employees can get huge discounts on BFG which is why you see their employees promoting the Sport Comp-2 & Rival tires on Facebook.
FYI, this is from a VWR memo that was sent out today.
TL/DR
–No warranty on the VWR parts in the APR fire sale
–Many parts are outdated and have been improved (part numbers have also changed)
–Many parts were found to be in poor condition when inspected by VWR
“We have been made aware that there are a number of VWR parts being offered by a US seller at heavily discounted clearance prices. We want to ensure that the seller is making prospective customers fully aware that these are old, and in many cases superseded parts, sold without VWR warranty. The majority were shipped by VWR in the UK to a sales outlet in China 2 years ago, before being sent to the current seller in the US. Although we were offered the opportunity to buy back these parts, upon inspection we found that many had damaged packaging and showed signs of poor/damp storage or transportation, and/or are of an outdated specification. Whilst we do not seek to discourage anyone from purchasing these parts, it is our responsibility to try to ensure that the seller gives honest and full disclosure of the age of these parts, of their outdated nature where that applies, and that no warranty or tech support therefore applies given their original date of sale.”

I would be hesitant for anyone to purchase the coilovers since they are from the older design which is known to have issues with the sway link attachment point.
VWR issues that email to dealers yesterday indicating that there will be no warranty provided for the VWR 2 year old inventory that APR is selling (possibly grey market since it was sold to China first).

Arin publicly claims that he will call VWR (hmm sound familiar?) to verify warranty, then pokes fun at VWR some more.
A VWR rep chimes in on the Facebook post and says:
Just to confirm there is no warranty on these VWR products that are sold if you need further details please email or call and we are happy to explain the details, please contact Email Sales@RacingLine.com
or call 334-610-1541. You can also email our UK office s.saunders@racingline.com Thank you

Arin sends out an email to dealers claiming that there is warranty and that the VWR warranty is a joke. http://i.imgur.com/aG63qJ9.jpg
"I’m personally running the brakes, suspension and intake on my own personal vehicle. I have the swaybars, mounts and camber plates going in soon.
I 100% disagree with you. The suspension is one of the best systems I’ve ever used. The brakes cannot be beat for the money. The intake sounds great, fits well and does what it says it does. "
"We do for almost everything we carry but this happens to be Volkswagen Racing UK’s parts, not APR. They’ve some of the best parts in the business, and through our dealer network they are now able to distribute them around the world. "
“I have the suspension, brakes and intake on my car and I honestly went from wanting to sell my car to actually enjoying it again. To be honest, the only items that really seem a bit on the expensive side are perhaps the intakes, but if you knew how much they cost to produce, you’d be shocked! Thats what you get for not skimping on materials I suppose. Everything else is very competitively priced. The suspension and brakes are very aggressively priced, especially given the value they offer.”

He also dodged the fact that most of the inventory is outdated and continues to claim that they are new in box when VWR stated that they would not accept these items back for credit after seeing the condition that they were in.
Keep it up Arin! Don’t forget that many of your dealers are also VWR dealers. I’m sure they appreciate your undermining sales tactics
Is there a story that I missed? Tunes for B8 K04’s are few and far between and I may have to consider options besides APR if I decide to go to a deflapped IM setup.
there’s also a thread or two on there about people who had some unpleasant experiences with them. golfmk6 is running really slowly for me right now so I cant find the actual posts between Bronson and I.
Looks like APR is burning those who purchased from their “Cyber Monday VWR flash sale”
Remember VWR sent out a warning about these products.

The only warning APR gave was
The following items are on clearance. Limited availability. Sold as is with no returns.
This is what the customer received.
