You’ve doing nothing but post a bunch of nonsensical crap. How the hell are we supposed to know about Keith’s travel routines and interactions with North American dealers/customers when you post grammatical vomit like this:
In keeping with the theme of the thread , invite him here and have him explain the devious actions done to current/former APR dealers behind closed doors? Actions that are going to eventually come to light now that dealers are jumping ship. (Probably will not happen).
As said previously , when you were in the good books , you were praised . When you were deemed a “problem” , gloating / chastising you was going to be a common scenario. See David/Arin personal messages between each other for further proof on the gloating.
done* (for keeping up the grammar police game)
5 year old antics aside , help me understand something. You guys ask for more details, I try to be as vague as possible with my post considering this is a legal matter and for brownie points I am the one getting chastised?
If you / Ian don’t know about his travel routines then don’t post bullshit like this:
Being in England means fucking squat. He was still the VP.
Now that everyone has gotten there panties in a bunch, If you notice at the start of this thread we did not have an issue with APR USA , until the thread developed and we were made privy to the truth behind lies.
I will give the cliff notes / coles notes version.
INA = former APR distributor for Eastern Ontario before the split into USA/Canada until January 2014
As an APR distributor , not 1 single complaint filed against us for our service. Quick search across Golf MK5/M6 and various Audi forums will show similar feedback. “great shop , great guys , fair pricing”.
APR UK gets involved in a TTRS project with another shop. INA supplies components to customer of said shop. TTRS has sat for over a year and would not run right. Shop passes the blame around and Keith Lucas @ APR UK (before he goes over to Germany) gets involved. Asks INA to sign an NDA to which it is refused. This is a problem between customer & shop and customer & INA , Nothing to do with APR (does this sound familiar?)
Keith is politely told to not get involved. He urges that it is in our best interest to conform . We reiterate that this is not his problem so I am not sure what his angle is here. It would be revealed that the customers vehicle was to be used for promoting the TTRS turbo kit which as has been pointed out was a failed project by APR.
Less than 48 hours after requesting the NDA is signed our UPD account is locked. i.e. we are unable to use our flashing credit to flash vehicles that were booked weeks in advance. The very same flashing credit that was “topped up” 8 days prior.
We begin receiving phone calls from various current APR dealers in the network (Some former and some current) within a few hours of our UPD being locked. Word spread like wildfire…
Phone call is placed to APR , we are told to contact APR Canada.
APR Canada is contacted and it is stated that our account is locked due to not meeting the requirements of a distributor. Requirements that were outrageous and never outlined.
Keith is contacted , he responds “nothing he can do” as he is in the UK.
4 months later , he is contacted again because as VP , we wanted to resolve this amicably privately . He states he had nothing to do with it maintaining his innocence passing blame onto APR Canada.
Fast forward a few more months , everything goes public. Towards the middle of this thread when I posted is when evidence started to surface. Evidence is supplied by an individual that Keith Lucas (former APR Employee and former APR VP) single handedly locked our UPD and gloated about it along with Arin Ahnell.
So after reading this , you tell me how someone like that could be “liked”.
How would you feel if I took $5000+ of your money , kept it in a bank account collecting dust and made you go to a lawyer to get back what was yours?
I would get into more details but you need to wait until after March.
This looks like a really old price list, APR hasn’t been selling VWR, and DxD products for a while, I think before Mangrove was fully in the picture as well. So I imagine a lot of these margins have changed. Just my two cents.
Motorsports nut with VAG passion. Also love those big US diesel trucks . Thinking of TTRS upgrades. Not an expert but an enthusiast. Concerned about support in long terms.
Yea, so old list, doesn’t paint a very clear picture for the margins now seeing that this is probably a year old if not more. And looking at pricing from APR’s site a few of the items prices don’t line up or aren’t on this list.
Since it is a “confidential listing” the name of the company is not disclosed, but it was given to me by someone within APR along with the name of an employee they might be replacing.
The point is to share information about the markups from APR to APR dealer to APR customer. Mission accomplished.
Complaining it’s not up to date sounds like complaining for complaining’s sake. I can’t think of any reason to complain about someone sharing that information unless you work at APR or are an APR dealer.
Anonymous does bring up some valid points. Yes it is an older price list, but the margin percentages for dealers on the remaining active inventory hasn’t changed for the better in the past year. It should be an interesting distributor conference this year, with many dealers now knowing that APR is bringing in goods from China.
