APR Stage 3 - Place your bets!

Murphy’s law says wait a week.

next may

It will be fun to watch Ny07rs4 fly the flag next month. He should be tuned with full exhaust and most lightweight parts. His goal is to run 11.999 or better, all motor.

Any of you guys interested in a get together to make a few passes? Looks like I’ll be able to get flashed to the updated Stage II locally without sending my ecu back down to Opelika. I’m in Chicago but would be willing to take a few hour road trip. I know I missed the last meet up. Any thoughts?

Damn, good for you man. Try to get some stuff out of it like upper control arm bushings and etc.

I want to see it! We need video - do you hear me Ny07rs4?

I’m assuming you’re talking going 4 hours or so to Norwalk or somewhere in Prime’s area…? Otherwise you’re talking 8 hours to here, or 12 hours to the Long Island/NJ crew.

Well how about we find a reasonable mid-way point? 12 hour drive for me is not gonna happen. Lol.

I’m more willing to travel this year or host if anyone wants to come out this way… I would honestly like to go meet all the Toronto area guys this year…

Clochner, Chicago to Norwalk is 4.5 hours and 5.5 to Thompson… Your more than welcome to come and spend the night and drive home the next AM… You actually have some guys local that you should get to go… yourself, Ken, ZCD, Ryan, and vogz off the top of my head… I wish vogz was modded as he seems to be a good stick shift driver and talks alot of smack…

Paging PT to Cayuga April 6!

That is the first day here as well… Probably want to make some passes close to home first to make sure the car checks out but will see… Will figure something out as time gets closer… Wife is fine with me going pretty much any weekend as long as we don’t have something planned…

Why would the car need to check out? You’ll be stage two in April, no?

Anyway we should do a rental. St Thomas is nhra, and is 90minutes from the Detroit border for any northern us guys.

We could have the place to ourselves for a day for like $1200

Funny… Primetime is closer to it than any of us other than bangoman. Unfortunately there’s a lake in the way! Got a ferry?

Saki, I believe I’ll be stage II still at that time but that is more dependent on APR! LOL Since I store the car all winter I would prefer to flog it here first but I guess I could just beat on it around town… Like I said I can be fairly flexible so will see… I’m game for a rental… that’s about 5.5 hours away for me…

Yeah I thought it was closer but my geography failed me.

Cayuga is probably 100 kms closer to you. An hour.

I’d be interested in that as well. Preferably on a Saturday.

Saturday’s will be tough as that is when most tracks are open… Sunday is more likely or a weekday… I can get Thompson fairly cheap on a Sunday for 1/2 or whole day…

lol - loud and clear. when I go I will ask a few locals to join. Tsivas, RS4 Tony etc. WHo ever goes we will be sure to record all runs good and bad. I will try and get a go-pro for inside the cabin too. I’m breaking in the clutch now.

I would be interested in pitching in on a strip rental and coming up to Thompson, I’m originally from just North of Pittsburgh and it’s only about 60 miles from my dad’s house so I can see some family and have some fun. I may be in a big twin turbo F150 though, hope you Audi guys don’t mind.
