S8 vs. Revo S4 from a dig and roll was dead even
S8 vs. M5 was close 0-80 and 80+ the M5 embarassed it 10+ cars.
wow that’s incredible that the M5 crushed S8. I’m shocked at that. I thought they’d be dead equal??? We should look at the time to speed numbers for each one from the various magazinese that have tested them. I’d argue they should be nearly identical since they make the same power, same torque, and are around the same weight (and any weight handicap on the S8 is all but irrelevant over 100 mph)
REVO vs. S8 from a dig is also surprising since (if you’re all on pump gas) these cars should be 11.9-12.1 @ 116-118 cars (the S8). I wouldn’t expect the REVO to get that much out of itself.
Any problems with the S8? Did it have the fat motorcycle twins in the backseat?
Anyway, I will be sure to watch these later. Sounds fun.

I want to Pete to drive my car/do a 30 roll/2nd gear run with my car vs the S8. I really think it’ll take the S8 by a little based on what we saw last night (Revo was even with it from roll). Wasn’t that impressed. Thought it would have fared better against the M5 and S4s.
Pete is also not running stage 1 software, at least from the newest logs we have done. He does have the stock pulley on though

2nd gear 40 roll IIRC. Pete is amazing shifter. Gained a little ground on shifts.

All passengers taking videos were 175-180lb range.
The GoPro videos are much better… Cheesy iphone vids are not best.
so weight was pretty fair then.
Weight of passengers was close.
There are some differences in weight between drivers and 6MT, DSG, +/- sports diff, wheels (17inch-19inch).

Ya stock dps and cats. Can’t do test pipes (too loud). Hfcs maybe if they were still offered I guess.
the 034 high flow cats don’t sound too loud at all, nor do they sound awful. They just amplify the car’s exhaust sound a little. probably 10-15% I would say. You can see in my youtube channel as I have a few of 81bear’s runs, as well as two or three other B8 S4s
I’ve heard many combinations of B8 S4 setups in person, other than headers and test pipes…but I’ve heard lots of the catbacks and the stock cats and 034 HFC etc. 034 is very similar to having an aftermarket exhaust.
That’s from outside the car. can’t comment on the inside as I’ve never driven/ridden in one.
Tempted to do hfcs esp since prime and bear have them and haven’t had issues.
You may get lucky and find a set used… If you’re really hard up just give 034 a call as they still sell them they just don’t advertise them because of all the negative press.
Also, I feel the HFC’s actually improve the tone of the car adding a bit of raspiness.
