My car has an ECU there. It has 2 ECUs, if I’m standing at the front bumper of my car looking at my firewall, there is one ECU all the way to the right and one just left of center, between the jumper cable terminal and cabin filter.

It looks like the res is in the place of the ECU that would be between the jumper cable terminal and the cabin filter.

The TTS kit was one of my top options too but decided against due to it being an overseas company and the price being on the high side.

Otherwise it seems to be the best of both worlds for me. Centri top mounted ;D

There was a picture posted of the intercooler in the place of the secondary ecu as well. It’s floating around somewhere. I know what you’re talking about. Why would he be talking about the main ecu lol that would be fuckin retarded for anyone to move.

what’s the difference between the two? one is for one bank, the other is for the other bank

The ecu stays in the same place, looks like it’s just been turned 90 deg,

From my understanding the “main” ECU control’s pretty much everything until higher RPM’s, that’s where the “slave” (other ecu) picks up some tasks to help the “main” ecu along.

I could be wrong so please correct me if I am!

The “main” ecu also interfaces with the body plugs. So moving it would be quite an under taking.

^^ This is my friends M3 w/ DCT that I mentioned I did a few pulls with the other day.

He ran race fuel and some impressive times, guys over at bimmerpost are saying “the fastest stock 1/4 mile times in the world”.

Anyways, he seems to have done consistent 118/119/120 traps with race fuel and on a “fast track” ATCO in NJ. Not sure what this says about my pulls with him so I’ve decided I’m going to run at Englishtown this Wed to find out once and for all where my car stands compared to others with AMD HP.

The coilovers are supposed to be in on Monday so hopefully everything goes smooth with re-install and the car will be good to run on Wed.

I’ll keep you all posted with some videos and slips.

Roll eyes yawn. I raced several corvettes guys that’s how we know my car is fast I’ll post a link to the corvette forum.

I’m actually saying I don’t think my car is as fast as it should be based on what my friend ran. That’s why I want to test my car out at the track.

when are you going to the track? There’s some B8 S4 guys going to Atco Sunday I believe. Maybe you should contact them and head down (and rape them :slight_smile: )

Unless he’s planning on running faster than 11.60s all day, doubt there will be any sexual crimes going on :wink:

Last I checked he ran even with that M3 that was running 11.6-11.7 all day
