That’s what I’m expecting as well. If not, the only thing I can imagine being wrong is that solenoid that came loose, but I should have that updated before I go to the track anyways.
Well if it went dead even with a car that trapped 119, I highly doubt it’s going to magically trap 125… Anyways it’s all guessing until it happens. I’m down for a run anytime anyways win or lose. I know what I can run, he doesn’t so I wouldn’t call it so quick until it happens. Racing on paper isn’t fun anyways
Haha, yeah I don’t disagree with that man. Only one Amviva HP kit has ran and those runs were questionable. By questionable I mean the mods were never very clear…so who knows what a real customer kit runs.
good point about the trap speeds. You’re repeating what I told kryptonik the other day. The M3 went 11.6 @ 119 on race fuel…probably no different to pump gas on a stock tune in great weather. However the RS4 should comfortably get a lead on him in the first 100 feet if the M3 ran that 11.6 time on street tires. So ET wise he should be quicker than the M3. Also…
this isn’t paper
nobody called what he will run. We said what he shoudl run. His kit on another car has already run, and we’ve seen it
yes, I didn’t realise his car was broken still. Thought he was going to maybe go with auditude and the jockey on Sunday
then there was twits4estate saying Kryptonik is his ‘buddy’ and they’re going to the strip together. lolol
Kryptonik, hanging with those amvivgmg guys…good luck! Can’t wait to hear the stories. They’ll probably kill you if you run 11.6 @ 118 so that you don’t post it publicly.
1 did you ever get your issue fixed?Your shop posted what it was online… Then denied it being the problem rather vehemently, and in fact insultingly, on az. Someone quoted their post and they acted like the person had told a giant lie. Weird because they literally quoted their post word for word.
2 why did the car trap 8 mph slower than the Seattle car in better DA?
. You went 11.9@119
The same day, another audi was there. A B8 S4.
You vs him
-4.2 vs 3.0…big advantage to you
-V8 vs V6
-TVS1900 vs TVS1320
you lost by 4 car lengths, and trapped almost the same. And this was your best run. The other one you went 12s@115?
You’re down about 70 whp to the amvivgmgknd car that ran in Seattle. Any idea why? This is either due to engine power (via octane, tuning etc assuming same hardware) …or a drastic difference in weight not yet accounted for. While the other car was definitely missing seats and perhaps even an exhaust that doesn’t make up for it to account for 7 mph of trap speed.
It’s pretty awesome when forum sponsors make a fool of themselves.
There is obviously a problem with his kit or AMVivaKMDGMG inflated their results with a number of advantages.
They have 2 options, admit they were fucking wrong and there is a tune of hardware issue…or throw Kryptonik to the wolves. I sure do hope his sweetheart deal was worth it.
I did not get my issues fixed… to recap… I was under the assumption something wasn’t right after I raced my friend’s 15 M3 DCT on the highway and we were head to head. After he ran the 1/4 mile and ran 11.6 @ 119/120 it really got me thinking I wasn’t where I was supposed to be. So I took it to the 1/4 mile to see what I’m really doing… if slower than advertised, something might be wrong, if close to the time advertised… well maybe all is good and I don’t need to bust AMD’s balls about it.
Car weight at the track with 1/4 tank of gas (according to Raceway Park’s scale and no driver): 3,890 lbs. (with a full tank of gas my car weighs 3,970 lbs) Added to those weights, I’m at 160 lbs.
Both runs I launched myself (without launch assist) and wheel hopped/lost traction. Normal quick shifts, no power shifting.
The first run I did 12.24 @ 115.94 hot off the trip to the track, waiting in line at ticket booth and tech inspection, lined up and shut down for about 20 minutes and went right onto the track (pretty much heat soaked).
The second run I did 11.91 @ 119.34 after cooling down for 3 hours (we were all waiting for the other lanes to go ahead of us).
I don’t think it’s fair you say the S4 beat me by 4 car lengths, I wasn’t racing him at the green light… I was racing for my own time, he launched .8866 ahead of me. I don’t understand why you’re saying he destroyed me in other posts when I’m a street trim vehicle and he was (with all respect towards Tsivas and Auditude, not down playing your record time at all) set up with a race tune, race fuel, DSG trans and 1/4 mile tire/wheel setup and I ran a better MPH. So that means with my car underperforming as it is now, I will “destroy” any street trim B8 S4 on the road (running 91/93 oct and street tire/wheels, especially manuals over DSG).
As far as why I ran such low times, I am not sure what is wrong, but something IS wrong. I already forwarded the stats to AMD and they agree something is off.
The new solenoid and updated bracket are coming in this week and will be installed, along with a boost tap into the IM. After that we’ll see if the solenoid dislodging and possibly being damaged is the culprit for underperformance.
The “bucking” is related to the tune and not the solenoid and they are working on that. There was a misunderstanding about that somewhere in the past…
As far as the smoke goes, it was the typical puff of light black smoke that I’ve always seen with my car and other RS4’s pushing it for the first time. When I was NA Revo, Unitronic, JHM tuned… PES M90 I’ve seen it… the type of puff of smoke after not pushing the car for a while then you go WOT through a few gears. Not worried about that.
I’ll keep you guys posted on what’s going on, but I’m reassured by AMD that my car should be performing much much better and we’ll get to the bottom of it after some diagnosis.
So far I have no complaints with AMD, they’ve all been very attentive to my concerns and I have full confidence they’ll take care of things. Let’s see!
