“S4 quit” lol. That was pretty funny.
suggestions?
That’s a nice kill video you got there.
I agree that the guy in the Shelby fucked up and almost gave Tsivas the victory, but (and you know to you from me there’s going to be a but) that mustang probably is only getting good runs every second or third try, looks like a handful. Even in your RS4 you are apt to miss a little somewhere, even if it costs you a tenth… On the other hand, and I know you agree, the DSG car does faultless copycat runs, Pete’s Dads car may as we’ll be a fucking laser printer that makes 11.6 second timeslips. There’s something to be said about that, because that consistency is VERY important to real-world performance.
I don’t consider bears wins against the F430 to be flukes, even though it was a 8+ mph difference. In 8-9 launches I could never get it right. Maybe if I kept trying I would have finally done an 11, who knows.
his car was acting up and I think he missed a gear and said fuck it. We went again and I missed a gear and said fuck it. Both went 12.8@109 as our best I believe. He is a member here.
Yes the dsg is ridiculously good.
Bears wins are definitely legit. The f430 just isn’t that quick (on a relative basis) . I always see them tested in low 12s. What did you trap? You said 8-9 mph more… 8-9 More than 117-118?
As for my rs4 it was basically all or none when I was at the strip once I had set the stock rs4 record. I had enough passes that I am not trying to put down a ‘decent’ time. So I would miss a shift once a day trying to nail them super quickly . The other 3-5 runs were always very consistent. That’s an audi thing. Certainly not dsg consistent but nowhere near rwd car inconsistent.
When I went 12.75 I had 6 other passes within a tenth of it.
Now that I have the exhaust I will start over.
As you said you’re a rarity among rs4 owners for shifting though, lol.
The f430 went 12.2 to 12.3 and trapped 121 to 123 pretty consistently…but with all nannies off, it would light up the tires like an on/off switch. And the car is so stiff, it transfers no weight to help the matter.

Prime - the new URT alternative
needs a beer keg tap on that thing. Huge.
That must weigh 400 lbs no?
Tsivas, Nice! I’m aware and will be getting some for the season… Wife is really against a drum of it but I may do that anyway… Can you share what you paid, including freight? Or did you pick up locally?
Saki, probably more like 500ish
Oh and I’d have a heart attack if I had shit that close to my cars like that snowblower… lol My almost 3 year old is trained when we leave through the garage to say mommy don’t touch daddy’s cars… lol
That’s a std 55 gal drum. They will deliver that at your house up here if you want. Pretty sure you can’t transport it yourself in that container, without dangerous goods certification.
Safety supply places have pumps you can use, easiest is the hand crank style.
If you’re going to run race gas regularly that’s the way to buy it. Same with nitromethane…pronitro will ship you a drum
Ya 450 lbs.
$704 for the gas. $300 shipping
Comes out to same price we pay for 5 gallons of ms109.
200 L * 0.7 sg = 140 kg = 308 lbs, plus about 30-40 for the drum

Ground your drum to your copper water pipe to be safe when dispensing it.
Yeah the shipping is what kills me… There is a place about 10 mintues from my house that carries tons of racing fuels and I am trying to get them to carry drums and pails of this…
J, If Chardon Oil, the place I mention above, carries it in drums so I don’t have to pay the freight I’ll get it to my house in my brother’s pickup… lol
Yeah that’s the way to go prime, esp if you’re in the country…just don’t get pulled over, they make a big deal over here. Same with trailers.
I usually take 6 to 8, 5 gallon mini kegs to the race fuel guy here. I try to drive a little slower on the way home
Screw your metric calculations ;D I checked though your right gas is about 6-6.5lbs a gallon… I was thinking of our paint which is 10-12lbs a gallon on average, but obviously has a ton of solids thus the higher weight…
Indeed… We have the Sherrif where I live no local PD… Best part is my brothers next door neighbor is the top dog Sheriff for Lake County ;D
Ha yeah I almost forgot what you do for work. Funny you probably know enough about TDG and choose to throw it in a pickup…I’d do the same…
If that’s the case…or even if it was like a 15-20% difference, I would still get the small 5 gallons. So much less cumbersome.
metric FTW
1 ml of water = 1 cc = 1 gram
How brilliant is that as a base? I’m shocked you guys use anything but.
1 litre of water = 1000 cc (or 1 cubic litre) = 1000 grams (or 1 KG)
