B6-A4 3.0 1/4 Mile Times

ohhh. bummer. no desire to try and get a baseline before you throw on those pipes?

**updated the table by removing that 3.2 time, we’ll keep them separate.

A baseline would be good, but like I said track is closed already, by the time it’s open next year pipes will be on. That being said, if they aren’t I will go with just the ECU and TCU. I have access to some top notch pump gas up here, so I might be able to squeeze a slightly higher time, however I have no track experience so the extra oomph is probably a wash. :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh and you can add zingo’s time, he ran 16.4 IIRC, it’s in a thread somewhere.

I was looking for that and I couldn’t find it anywhere…I still don’t know how the 3.0 Cab with CVT is the quickest stock.

zingo! chime in and let us know what you ran.

as for that cab… i don’t know. it was just from a magazine article i think. there’s very little data for that dragtimes.com entry: http://www.dragtimes.com/Audi-A4-Timeslip-3372.html. i think i’m going to take it down.

Yeah it seemed odd, that’s why I didn’t put down on the list on AZ

My best run was a 16.2 iirc.

16.27
60 ft 2.42
1/8 68
86.99 mph

That is my best run yet. With TCU and ECU. I hopefully will get to the track maybe next week? Don’t hold me on that though. Once the dps are released I’ll go again. Then when I get a full cat back, then with race gas. I’m getting all antsy in my pantsy though.

I’d love to see someone break 15s with just the tune(s). Go for it!

It’s definitely possible, if you can cut down your 60’ you would be sweet. It’s time to get the tcu update with LA Zingo.

table updated. I agree if you can get a few tenths of that 60 ft time that’d be pretty sweet.

Smitty2A4 on az posted this time slip for a stock 3.0

15.3 is a great time for a stock car

Another guy on az ran a 10.1 in the 1/8th mile which works out to be a 15.7 only mods are gutted cats and a 3" single exhaust…

wow 15.3 seems really good, was it 6spd or tip?

I’m pretty sure it was a 6spd

People always doubt the “speed” of the 3.0, but the manual is geared really low, which helps it get moving semi-fast for the power/weight of the car. I’d guess, based on gearing, the automatic would never come close to that stock.

multiply 1/8 x 1.55 for 1/4 time.

Lol just reread this thread. I stated in december that I’d obviously have a full exhaust by april and have done some 1/4 mile runs. Just looked out the office window my exhaust still looks stock :’(

Meistah Did You get your exhaust yet?

No, I’m waiting for the JHM downpipes. I’m going with them for all my performance related products. And as you know they haven’t released much lately :stuck_out_tongue:

For comparison, here’s a 1.8T K03 with 2.5" exhaust, APR tune, clutch, eBay FMIC but no rear seat running 14.1 @ 94

Hope that’s useful for your benchmarking!

Edit, for modlist:
stock k03, stock engine from valve cover to oil pan
APR Stage 2+ 93 octane
2.5" borla exhaust with TT dp and test pipe
TT 225 injectors
custom Southbend clutch
shifter and JHM linkage
true flow foam filter
CX racing intercooler
NGK BKR6E plugs gapped at .032"
APR TIP
Forge 007 DV
That time is ridiculous! Almost 13s… It’s a stage 2+ apr car going a good second or so faster than they normally do… Detective Saki we have a new case for you.

Yeah I was reading his thread this morning. I think the time is legit, but I am not so sure about the tune or mods, he also dynoed really well as well and that power does reflect in the time
