This has been around for a while. There was a thread on AZ.
There are also more youtube videos, one of them been at a strip In some other country. And it didn’t look too impressive. Maybe it was a TUNING PROBLEM like EPL lol.

Ya most of us have seen it. If it would have actually performed well I think more people would have heard about the results.

With JHM’s supercharger out there which hasn been even opened up to its true potential…turbos are just child’s play really.

The actual 1/4 video turned out to be a very similar looking B5 from the same company from what I remember.

Actually got some info on it… 14,2 1/4 mile time does not know the trap speed , and its boosting 9lbs.

I don’t think you need to resort to making your car a science experiment. It’s hard to give too much excitement to a road side track results they aren’t accurate. Being and knowing family in europe I wouldn’t exactly except those results as something to compare to standardized tracks. It’s not bad but it’s not exciting when you realize with JHM you can be just as fast if not faster and still have abs breaks traction control a use able dash cruse control and all the other things you buy an audi for.

It’s exciting to us v8 guys as one more victory for having a great S4 but they don’t show you anything about the car. Just months ago the car went 14.x from what they calculated. It’s neat but not really a realistic option.

We know that’s impossible. Basically once a B67 starts trapping 120 it will grenade the stock engine. They just claimed they’re trapping 129

Like I said… naive.

Having lived in Europe and ran on a few of those roadside/airport tracks with my b7. I can say they are fairly accurate, not the BEST but get the job done. You know where they buy their tree Equipment from? Some of the same vendors tracks in America use. Now all you have to do is walk out a quarter mile with a measuring wheel. Seen it all setup and done at German Racewars 2013 at Kindel Airfield.
As far as the motor grenading around the 120 trap range. When there is realistic, consistent, and documented evidence of such then WE will know. For instance that’s about the same trap the old vr6 12v grenades at but yet Took Mullen consistently trapped mid 130s and is well documented on stock motor. All thanks to tuning.

Also, you don’t just walk off a distance of a 1/4 mile and it’s LEGIT. NHRA and IHRA tracks have pretty strict rules pertaining to elevation change etc. so just measuring distance isn’t enough. A person can look at a stretch of road and say “that looks flat to me” but in reality it could have a decent amount of elevation drop or rise…drop being the situation that helps the cars time…a lot.

I’ll have a motor built…one day. Money is the factor, not difficulty :wink: Also you read the wrong time, they trapped 211kph~213…about 130~133mph on their fastest run of 10.808. Looks like they switched drivers at one point as well.

Yes and of course elevation change plays a factor. What do i have to spell out everything they did? Now the strip i ran on had about a 75ft uphill change over the course of the 1320 (verified via gps). NHRA calls for >1%grade. This had about 1.5% Again like i said before not the BEST. I was at about 2500ft elevation and ran a 14.2@97~98 with a stock car and clutch that hated launching over 3k LOL.

As far as the troll deterrent, i understand, lord knows there are plenty of those on audizine and vwkotex.

NHRA is a 2% grade. I don’t think you’ll find any Euro or foreign roadside stands sticking to that as your just putting out measuring equipment Who knows what your getting.

Power wise I don’t doubt you can do something a few times but from what I’ve read these motors have issues stock and jhm has documented the strength of the rods at each power level. We were told the RS4 blocks were almost unbreakable. Only to find that’s not true. We know the RS4 has better parts than the S4.

After looking into this I see absolutely no documentation on what’s been done to the car. All I’ve seen are some random pictures.

I think we all want to be excited but what are we excited about. We know nothing about the car and unlike the failed b5 platform we know better then to rally around sruff like this. Just months ago this same car struggled to go 14s. As said above there is no maf and if you look they have some weird box they put in the car for tuning. So there goes most any use of the car. Going back to when the last polish people built a s4 they did the same thing. They out gt turbos on a 2.7t S4 it didn’t impress so they put a standalone on the car and then added a 250 shot of nos.
