I used to bust his balls also until he threw me his keys… In Tsivas defense, the same launch that works so well on my car- his clutch slipped right to redline. I think it’s a combination of all the miles him being stage 2 for so long. It’s fine in 2nd gear on but with all his miles his clutch really won’t grab…

Saki- can you egg on Paul to come out to the strip? He said he was waiting for winter and now the strip is closing in two weeks. Would be awesome to see him run and I’m sure you can egg him on a little to come out since your good at that…

And seemed like a good time to bring it up since we were discussing people who avoid the strip like the plague.

Yes, we needn’t defend anyone from anything. This isn’t an attack on his manhood. This is an explanation of why the BMW guy said the cars can’t launch without breaking…because he always hears Audi owners saying so!

I do regularly, don’t worry. In fact…just this morning I suggested he join Mistro and 2000S4 up here at our dragstrip since he never goes down there lol

The BMW guy is talking shit though Saki. Tsivas never made an erroneous claims on what his car would run, or who he would beat. If there’s anybody we should be going after it’s Paul. Who’s been talking about going to the strip and running 11’s N/A for so long that I’ve had three different cars in that time period.

Dude, go start a thread on the B5 S4 section and ask if anyone wants to join you at the strip for closing day.

Let’s be clear…he hasn’t been trash talking and boasting. He said that was his goal in modifying his RS4.

I don’t think he needs to be ‘gone after’ the way you’re saying. He needs to be encouraged to show what his car can do because he has a great modlist. But he will do it in his own time. Who knows, maybe he already did, and JHM is making a video of his car before it’s announced???

p.s. I have suggested to Paul that he just go on his own, not with a group. Go and devote your attention to your car, not everyone else. That’s what I think everyone should do the first time, although having a buddy there helps sometimes. When you go with a group you start racing your buddies, as opposed to focusing on your car. Not the best way to get the most out of it if you’ve not been before. There’s too much to learn/figure out.

I hope he already went, I’ve been wanting him to come because I know he can break the record and I’m a huge RS4 fan. Also it’s been so highly talked about on this forum, id love to line up same day and do some pulls with him. Would be an epic event.

I think if you both ran pump gas, it would be pretty close, but you should have him on MPH and ET. Probably 2 of each. If he really gets sharp with it and nails his launches and shifts it could be interesting. Not sure what he’s like as a driver. Based on some of the pulls he did with you guys a while back, sounds like he knows what he’s doing.

Agreed I think it’ll be very very close. Especially 93 v. 93. Both I think in the 12.2-12.3 range. Would be epic to see. With LA and that clutch he can def 60’ me.

The launch assist is pretty cool. Works great. Pretty much all of the tuned guys with at least piggies cut 1.7X 60’ times with it which isn’t bad.

I’m trying to get Tony to come, he’s got everything except the JHM tune which he’s ordering soon. His car came together really nicely and the JHM exhaust sounds insane!

dunno. Last time I checked they don’t tell you to not accelerate when you get the car, right? So what’s the big deal. You are just ripping it from 0-110.

They put 20 hard miles on them at the factory after they’re built.

not that i EVER adhere to the audi break in procedure but i thought there was mention of not bringing the revs parts a certain point for like 1200 miles? did i make that up in my head?
