I’ll wait until he posts the slip on AZ but its legit… He sent it to me 15minutes after the pass at 302… Wanted to be the first to congratulate him…
Great job Ryan!

Nice work,! What’s his user name?
Stunned.
Bango, it’s rynurz23 on AZ…
J, I’m honestly not… DA was 12 feet and the run was done at us41dragway in IN…
Well done for sure. Prime, I’ve seen much lower DAs, it’s usually negative when I go. Some quick research from AZ.
He seems to have gone from Stasis original, to APR stage II V2, and has APR CPS, Stasis Exaust, Stasis 19" Rims, and Strat Intake.
Also he seems to have been running 100 octane since May, and (I’m making an educated guess here) added test pipes. Without test pipes, he did pretty ordinary runs (?):
[QUOTE=rynurz23;7484246]2010 DSG S4 APR S2+ CPS, Strat intake, Stasis Touring Exaust, Stasis 19" rims, no downpipes, stock cats. Driver 195 lbs. 100 oct run 12.287 @113.25 93 oct run 12.461 @111.89 time slips and video

That’s quite a jump, 0.6 seconds and 5 mph from adding test pipes and running 100 octane over a long time.
God damn…nice run, good to see B8 guys putting faith in the strip to gauge how “fast” their cars actually are.

Although I didn’t really congratulate him
No limit is not a sanctioned track I don’t think. Well be interesting to see how Arin handles this
No witness
No video
Not an official track
J, Understood on the DA… These cars seem to run best at right around sea level especially if you can have a 50ish degree temp so there is some heat to the track… Too cold and traction becomes the issue or you need to run a tire pressure that hurts on the big end… From what I know he runs APR tune, pulley, CPS, lw rotors, stasis exhaust, and stasis wheels… Shows that the stock exhaust logs and cats on these cars aren’t hurting performance at all… So much for headers and HFC’s… at least until stage III… As for the time cut and ET p/u, I can relate as best I could muster in 3100 DA was 12.1 and traps were off 3-4mph… I have traded a few emails with Ryan prior to this and have no doubt it’s legit… His 12.2 runs were done at a 2000ish DA and as I mentioned these at basically sea level…
Saki, I agree it’s not a IHRA/NHRA track but I still think it’s legit… I’ll be disappointed if Arin doesn’t post the time and I think you should honor it as well on here… That’s not my call though…
At the end of the day of course I am disappointed not to have the fastest time but it’s been 2+ years so I am just glad to see the platform moving forward and if anything this helps further validate my times since they were somewhat of an outlier prior… Weather permitting I’ll see if I can get back to the top next weekend…
I don’t know about the AZ list, but our’s calls for an NHRA/IHRA track, otherwise lots of those pop up strip European times could be added.
Yeah if you add this time you have to add the airstrip times and parking lot times.
I’m sure its a legit time as we already have seen what, three other B8 guys run in the elevens?
But we need to keep the standards in place. Before anyone calls me a b8 hater, as an example, the fastest we have ever seen an m90 supercharged 4.2 run was mid twelves…but at crail Dannyrs4 went 11.7. That didn’t get added to the list, because it was not a certified dragstrip.
He (Ryan) is near a certified dragstrip, so I’m sure he can go there in equally good weather.
Arin imposed a bunch of rules after he got duped by kevkev…and this time doesn’t meet any of them. Since it is an APR car I reckon it will get added pronto, despite this.
Either way PT is still no 1. This guy’s time may well be fast and genuine but that’s like Usain Bolt saying he ran a 9.50 once in training. He went to Route 66 before, why didn’t he go again?
I have no problem letting the time stand on the list. It was never established or denoted that times must be achieved on a NHRA/IHRA track so to me it’s valid. Though they should probably add a column that specifies the type of track (IHRA/NHRA/air strip/etc.) so that we can sort through the data easier.
You are kidding? Not sure if you are referring to Arin’s thread (for which that time also does not qualify as there is no forum witness and no video), but on this site the rules are pretty simple.
Posted May 7th in the database thread
I think that we should stick to our rules. If his car is indeed this fast and he really cares about forum 1/4 mile databases, he will go run at a sanctioned track, I know that I would. Adding in every other type of 1/4 mile run (regardless of where it was conducted) will not only add a bunch of “Junk” to the database to sift through, but it will open it up to people once again trying to cheat the system to look fast. The AR database will turn into the “UnOfficial 60-130mph Challenge” thread where guys video tape their speedometers and try to document times by a stop watch…haha
Well put euroswagr. On the ATCO thread, there’s guys doing 3h trips to get to a certified strip.
Wasn’t sure if you were referring to my pbox unofficial 60-130 thread here but that’s as legit as you can get.
Same strip every time. Same pbox used. I am there for every run. Don’t accept data from other places/people. Only what I log. Saki can vouch for validity of that info.
If you weren’t … never mind.
I agree with rules put in place. Certified dragstrips only.
^^^ 8 hr trip…but I managed to combine a work trip to the Roche facility in there…
Anyhow, not my rules, but I’d think the 11.67 should be added, I’m sure it will get added to AZ, but who knows.
Look at the mph on the slips posted. It’s quite crazy that he trapped 118 to 119 consistently…that’s 6 mph faster than he did before. I mean, weather, sure, but that’s a 50 hp difference. I tried to look up the wind speed there, no luck.
First of all… that track seems shady as all hell. LOL just reading some posts on it. Not best place to bring your family.

The empty ambulance/extremely shady owner might be part of reason for the lack of NHRA certification we seek. ;D
Wish he had a pbox slapped onto his car… would love to see the type of decline there, b/c there definitely is one, especially towards the end/post 1/8th mile mark.
The two cars (Prime’s and his) were essentially dead even from the start up to the 1/8th mile mark ET/trap-wise (prime was actually ahead up to 330 ft), yet at the 1/4 mile mark he ends up trapping 1.6mph more than Prime?
That’s a huge difference, especially given that both cars are DSG and are at top of fourth or shifting into fifth at end. And then I scratch my head at seeing a 113 mph trap as his previous best :-\
Those traps sound ridiculously high for those mods.
119 mph? WTF?

Here is weather info for 2:55pm that day anyways… (Corrected)
No Limit Raceway
(formerly U.S. 41 Dragway)
Track Elevation: 680 feet above sea level
Air Temperature: 50.4 degrees F
Barometric Pressure: 30.22 inches Hg
Relative Humidty: 51%
Density Altitude: 12 feet
Relative Density: 99.97 %
Didn’t seem to be a windy day per weather archives.
Was referring to AZ list and specifically to the type of track not being specified.
If you really want to vet the top time it should require two slips both besting the top time on different days and/or require verification via pbox.
Back to the most recent top time I do find it a bit suspect that he switched tracks to post this best time…
^^^ 8 hr trip…but I managed to combine a work trip to the Roche facility in there…

I don’t understand…on one hand your think it should be added, but on the other you question the legitimacy because of his abnormally crazy pick up in time and mph.
With that point, maybe we should question why this track isn’t sanctioned…and how much of a decline it may have.
Someone else already said…why would he chose this track when he has ran at sanctioned tracks?
…and 2 slips besting a top time IMHO is a lot to ask, sometimes the stars only align once. If it is a guys first time out and he shatters a record he better have other slip with runs very close to his best slip, otherwise people will question it.
Also, to add to my rant…I looked over on AZ and he says “I don’t car if anyone believes that I ran it, I know I did”
Kinda BS if you ask me, if you are the fastest of any platform out there it’s a pretty great accomplishment. Did he only run once? Why has no one asked to see his other slips? I’m not calling this guy a fake, just curious.
