Hopefully it’ll all workout for you man. Philly is about two hour drive from BK depending on the time of day you want to travel. So not that bad of a drive for FastEddie if indeed he’d willing to drive that is.

I agree with you here, 1,200 is a bit much for a used hood when new is 1,600 according to a seller. 1,000 is more of a realistic number. You’d be surprised though how many of those A4 stance guys would love to throw such an eye candy on their slammed bagged A4s. Especially in the NorthEast region where there are a tons of Audi enthusiasts. Hence why a guy wants to put a deposit on it and pay at the end of the month when he gets his paycheck, kind of makes sense. On the other hand it might be just a bluff, sellers of somewhat rare and sought after items usually like to do that to create false urgency to seal the deal. Common sales practice lol

the pluses on this hood are: holes already cut. its brand new. has the hood pins already installed. a quick sand some base and clear and its good to go.

vorsteiner hoods are discontinued so finding another will be luck of the draw. aerofunction is backordered and we all know how that shit can play out when u need something. ill do everything in my power to buy this hood even offer a bit more. in the grand scheme of the cost of my car who gives a shit about a couple hundred bucks.

if I cant get anything happening here in the next few days ill just buy a a4 hood or bang mine out for the time being.

im trying to get him to ship it for me, a 2 hour drive there and back is a lot to ask of eddie for someone he has never met.

Right on! Glad to hear you got it sorted. For some reason I thought it was used… Since it’s brand new that makes it even better deal.
I have a contact at FedEx and he could get you some nice discounts, but not to or from Canada. Not sure where in Canada you are, but if close to the border you could have it shipped and just pick it up. Let me know and I could email you his contact info.

ok after pulling my hair out for the last 3 days I got the fucking thing shipped. should be here Friday or Monday. I better like it.

so im painting the hood but I cant decide whether to keep some carbon acdents on the vents or just paint it all. thoughts?

that does look good but cant help but think if it would look better all painted. i need to physically see the hood on the car to get an idea. cant wait till it gets here. this may end up being the most expensive b7 hood ever!

^^^me too bro. I really hope after all the money spent that it looks good and gets me better intake temps. I will likely leave the accents cf. im gonna put it on the car and leave it for a week or 2, I need to drive my car. im gonna get a few quotes for paint. when it goes in im gonna do the rear bumper too its got 2 chips that drive me nuts that were there when I bought the car. plus the 2 little dents in the fenders need to be addressed as well. once its all done it will go for a polish and detail and then it will never see a touch wash again.

I have a really good friend that owns a body shop but his work is mediocre. I want this thing perfect so ill be using either Mitek or Lexus. they both have high end down draft booths and super experience techs. once upon a time a had a body shop so im the worst customer for paint work.

had some more hiccups with customs but my broker figured it all out yesterday. looking like early next week now. im hoping I can get my car back get the clutch broken in and hit Sparta for a few passes on the weekend. im dying to drive it. I felt the throw on the shifter now and man does it ever feel short. I forget the percentage it changes the throw but it feels worlds different.
