badtoyz build thread.

I got it now Jake. Few more hours of moving it a 16th at a time and watching the fine adjustment video a couple more times I have perfect reverse and 1 2. The only thing that feels a bit off is 6th gear. From 5th to 6th it feels like it slides left a little bit but it goes in and stays in nice and solid so I’m fine with it.

On to hood adjustment now!

when can we race?

Yeah you want to do very tiny adjustments with the shifter.

As long as 1-2 and 3-4 are crisp it’s really all you need

Hey did you ever resolve the 2 fault codes? I have the same set up and have the exact same fault codes today. Throwing a blinking CEL. Wanted to get this resolved before WF

thought you sold it

Wanted to keep atleast till the end of the summer. It’s been a pleasure to drive.

Yup I got it all figured out. The intake switch over valve is attached to the bracket for the Sai pump. I pulled it off plugged it in and just zip tied it. That fixed that code. My second code was rear o2 replaced it and thats gone too.
MFnc car is running fault free and I just passed my etest. Shifter is good now. I wanted to try the half mile races at Cayuga this weekend but because I’m still breaking in the clutch I can’t. I’m gonna get some good time breaking it in this coming week and hopefully get a pass in next weekend.

Wahpao if u have a blinking cel that would usually indicate misfires. My cel didn’t blink for my codes.

Asap bro.

how much break in have you got under your belt? Would be cool to see the delta between full exhaust to supercharger+exhaust.

ive got 500 km on it now all city km and all 1 2 3, 3 2 1 shifts and it feels normal now. the engagement is getting smoother and smoother. the shifter now feels like its in its proper home and 1234 shifts are effortless.

were gonna need some decent DA to get some good times out of my car. the difference between a 10 degree night and a 33 degree day like today are friggin night and day in the power. i know it was noticeable before when i was NA but now its like 2 different cars. the hood does help keep it cool now though. as long as i keep moving it will keep some decent power but when heat soaked on the 401 at a dead stop in 32 degree weather it pulls a great deal of power.

10 degree nights are incredible. when we do go to the track im going to bring some race fuel to help keep her cool and a ton of ice.

i need that intercooler… jake sell me stage 2!

so heres a couple shots of how high the hood sits off the fenders. koolade or anyone else that has a cf hood have any tips for getting this thing to sit down.

Looks awesome indeed!

It seems like it’s sitting high starting from the hinges and all the way to the headlight. So that maybe your culprit… Hopefully some of the guys with CF hoods will chim in.

im thinking of drilling more holes in the hinges to make them more adjustable. i bought new hinges thinking the old ones may have been bent up from the wind. they were but not as much as i thought.

I agree mr wrong and you are right on with the top hinges. You can really see it and I have seen cars with the hoot that took a ride and thats what it does to the hinges.

Also the 10 degrees does make a huge difference when your na so it makes good sense that you can feel it when you have that big supercharger adding that much power.

Yes I’m thinking I need to modify the hinges somewhat. At least with them being aluminum they should be easy to manipulate.

so i just lost the b2s2 o2 again. heating circuit fault. do you guys think i have an issue somewhere else causing the heating circuit to fry? foreign auto is a bosch dealer so theyre replacing the sensor again for me free of charge.

also i just noticed that my headlights are off now. the driver side is now higher than the passenger and im pretty sure that will be annoying to drivers coming towards me. am i able to adjust the height of the beams through vagcom?

Wiring issue?

You need to go into VCDS, 55 - xenon range, basic settings, group 1 and Go!. Wait until it says “Adjust headlights” then you manually adjust the lamps with the adjusters. Once you’re happy with where they are hit next and it should say learned or something like that and you’re done

Its for the heating element so thats something weak in the sensor. I have had a few new sensors go bad very soon after installing them. Just make sure they are oem replacment. Sometimes you get the cheap universial replacement bosh part thats not even made by bosh. They dont seem to last as long.

jimS4 gave the vagcom deets so you should be good there.
