Clutch is finished break in. I just did my first clutch dump and holy fucking shit does this thing ever come out of the hole hard. Left huge black strips too. Not used to seeing that being awd. Think I’m gonna hit sparta tm night.

im heading to st thomas speedway tomorrow. test and tune 5-10. im not looking to shatter any records or anything, DA wont be great but i think it will cool off enough to get some decent times later in the night. i need to get seat time in bangin gears in this thing now. trying to do it on the road is dangerous and the car gets up to speed so fast your doubling the limit in seconds. im gonna go have some fun with my car and work on my driving. anyone who wants to come see the car is more than welcome.
had a guy over on AZ tell me that the chrome pieces could be seperated from the center cap on the wheels so i decided to pop them out and take them apart and paint it from gray to black. just a subntle little touch but i like the way it looks. it almost looks like the rims are a way different colour because theyre so filthy, stupid construction. i used that same high build paint i used on the mirrors.

How did you separate the little rings?
Also define clutch dump ? No need to dump and spin. Makes you slow.
Try not to break it on the first night!
The rings pop right out with a jewelers screw driver from the back.

Total crap night. There was like 15 mustangs here and everyone of them leaked all over the track. Made 5 passes and fucked up every single one lol. Oh well next time I guess.

As u guys know I have a braille battery that I use at the track. Well my stupid ass forgot to bungee the fuckin thing in and on my very first launch it flipped and grounded out on the hump in the trunk fuck me it melted a quarter sized hole in the metal. I need to do some logging now and make sure nothing got seriously fucked up.

Nah I’m not even bothering with it until I have the car running the way I want. The shifter is still not perfect. When yer just putting around town is great but at the track when u have the motor and everything twisting it changes how the linkage is lining up so it still needs more tweaking. I need to hunt down a boost leak too. I’ve the car up on stands right now with a fan under the hood waiting for things to cool off so I can start checking all the gear clamps and everything. Other than that all is well. The battery arc didn’t seem to damage anything and the o2 sensor seems to be good now.
All part of the fun trying to make power lol. I have a boost leak tester I made but it’s for a much smaller diameter tube so if I can’t visually find the leak I’ll just build a bigger one.
There is a lot of pluming with the kit and that leaves lots of possible areas for small leaks
I have another question about the headlights. It seems that my one headlight adjuster is stuck. I’m getting a click click click when I try to turn it. The other one moves up and down no problem. Anyone experienced this?
So I have a spare headlight I’ve used for parts. I completely took it apart to see how the adjustment actually works. Seems when u bottom out the screw there’s a bit of a taper there and it gets stuck. Once it’s stuck it’s stuck and thats it. Even with the everything apart I can’t get it unstuck so just word to the wise if your using your manual adjustment screws do not bottom them out in either direction because it looks like there is no way to fix it once it’s stuck. I was looking to replace my right headlight anyway because my left one is newer and I can tell when I look at it and It kinda bugs me. I’m ridiculously anal about headlights lol.
I was debating about taking this opportunity to actually buy the Ecode lights but reading forum posts about ppl buying them are turning me away. Seems alot come broken.
care to make a head light info post. I see lots of posts about people asking for direction on what screws move the head light beem in what direction. It would also be nice to see what your talking about with the adjustment screw.
