Boom!

Such a sad post. Name calling - Really?

I’m beginning to understand why you hang out here, and why you take pleasure in mocking what people post.

“C*ck”? Look in mirror, man.

The car trapped the same as him but was half a second slower, seemed to back out at the last minute, I’d probably draw the same conclusion lol. Sounds like a fun day regardless! No need to rag on each other about it

haha well, I don’t get the need to put people down like that. Saying he was embarrassed is lame. That’s the attitude that makes people NOT go to the dragstrip. They think they’ll be mocked.

Yeah don’t scare ZCD away. It would be nice to have a few threads about the circuits instead of the drag strip all the time…

Calling me names is lameER, and it’s not even the first time you’ve done so.

Makes me wonder why I bother to post on a forum where you attempt to dominate all discussion, and take apart every post when it doesn’t match YOUR idea of how things are.

The thing is that in the end, that I was just poking some fun at our BMW-owning friends - not trying to start a war of words.

What’s troubling to me is that YOU turn it into an opportunity to put ME down, calling me names like some kind of 4th grader…

My opinions may not always fall in line with your idea of the “truth”, but that doesn’t make your opinion any more valid than mine. I also don’t go out of my way to attack anyone for their point of view…

And I’m done with this topic - thanks, Saki, for turning my post about a fun, cool experience into something ugly - much appreciated.

It’s a reference to Clarkson’s claim that Audi drivers are all cocks. Your comment was indeed cock-like. You’re not necessarily 100% cock, but that statement was. I have a bad habit of pointing out things that seem unjust. This is not new. I call it like I see it.

Saying a guy was about to get embarrassed again is a bit ridiculous. I guess someone pointing out that you said something ridiculous and frankly cocky really hit a nerve with you.

Sorry if it offended you. Just the internet. Just like your post.

You mean you call it like you IMAGINE it must be in your fantasy world, right Saki?? YOU used the word “embarrassed” - I never did - look again.

I also ended the sentence containing my comment about the BMW driver with a question mark, so that it would be clear that I thought the situation might be open to interpretation…

YOU turned the thread into an attack on me with virtually zero justification, and THAT, buddy, is why you have to play here in your own little sandbox, because your attitude and inability to control yourself has gotten you banned elsewhere.

Oh, wait, I know: ALL THOSE MODERATORS have it wrong, and you and only you are right. So sorry. /sarcasm

Lol, bringing up an argument from last year? Niiiiiiice

Once I saw “BOOM” flash by the top of my iPad, I was wondering how the fuck Ron managed to find an open dragstrip in the dead of winter.

ZCD, forget about it. Lets start a track thread.

LOL at the fact that the thread hadn’t even dropped off the first page over the past 2 months+!

1/4 mile is the only race that matters, man. Just ask most of those on this board!

it’s the best acceleration test to measure a power mod, yes. Nobody here thinks the quarter mile and the road course have anything to do with each other. The 1/4 mile is a wonderful acceleration benchmark, and just about every performance car platform on earth (including yours) agrees with that.

Road-race superstars like to pretend they’re ‘above’ the quarter mile…as if they’re out at a track day torching their tires and suspension at the limits of handling, while wearing tuxedos and white gloves and dining on caviar in between 20 minute no passing sessions. Reality is its a bunch of middle aged guys getting away from their wives for 4 hrs and pushing their cars to 6 tenths while an instructor holds their hands. Fun for sure, but hardly anything to be arrogant about.

Hey Sak, for sure about half the guys at the circuit are worried about wrecking their cars…but mostly unfounded, I can’t really say I even see an incident except for a GT3 spin and damage the front bumper in the tire wall. Passing is allowed in red groups anywhere on the track. And after having a coach forced on me for one annoying session, I’ve since never ever had anyone but friends and family in the car with me. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. Most who have never gone to the circuit are simply worried about wrecking and having no insurance to cover it…or are too cheap to pay for the track fee, brakes and tires. Consider that lapping at a big road course even 5 times a year costs at least $5000, so many shrivel up.

Anyway, after that, the strip is a little dull in comparison, unless there is someone to race. Notice comments by myself, ZCD, paper, even our newest salmon are likely only showing interest in the strip when it comes to an actual race…I think you’ll find this pretty common for any of those who frequent a circuit.

Sure thing Jspazz. Sure thing.

LOL! It was actually 67 here yesterday… today snow and a high of 25! LOL Gotta love it…

Nearly identical weather pattern here as well.

Yeah I am 30 minutes east of Cleveland in the snow belt so I get lots of lake effect just like Buffalo! LOL

ZCD, Saw your post on the other site… That time is over a year old and is from 1fasts4… My car ran the exact same time with stock pulley, catback, and intake in a worse DA and with a higher trap so don’t get too excited… Not sure why he decided to post on dragtimes 1+ year later… Oh, I didn’t have all the stickers though… He also ran MS109 vs GT260 in my car…

His run:
DA -200ish Dragtimes - intake, tune, exhaust, 104 octane
1.792 60ft
5.098 330ft
7.804 1/8 mile
92.348 1/8 mph
10.120 1000 foot et
12.062 1/4 time
114.987 mph

My run:
DA 450 Dragtimes - 3000 miles - intake, tune, exhaust, 100 octane - ESP/ASR off
1.7470 60ft
5.0713 330ft
7.7848 1/8 mile
91.36 1/8 mph
??.??? 1000 foot et
12.0694 1/4 time
116.82 mph

Yeah you two live on the wrong side of the lakes. I usually fly out of buffalo and the snow that dumps there is crazy. Mind you, I live on the slope of the Niagara Escarpment, and my neighborhood gets dumped on, double the snow that everyone else gets around us, it seems.

FYI Cayuga seems to be open for lapping every Saturday, all winter. Lol I may just go one day for kicks.

That has to be a mistake on their website. If it’s not, I’d make the trip up for a winter lapping day. :o

I think they call it the “Winter Driving Experience”.
