Along with intermittent esp/abs faults for no communication…seems my control modules are not playing nice. Bastards!
Not sure how much of that is due to the swap. That is a common thing with the Auto trans cars for the B6 S4. I know most of the B6 guys I have helped along with myself get no com codes for ABS from time to time. The ESP faults are a once or twice a year code for me
That pesky ac system
Hvac module 08 fault code
00819 high pressure sensor
07-00 signal too low
Econ button illuminated at all times. And no ac
Possible fixes - refrigerant low, bad g65 sensor.
You can try getting a can of AC fill at any auto store. Its actually very easy to top off your AC. I have done mine a few times in the past. Let me know if you want me to give you some pointers. The can is like 25 dollars or something. Its really easy
Thanks Justin. New receiver/drier wasnt fully tightened causing a system leak. All tightened down recharged, no leaks and cold air. Hopefully it is a long term permanent fix. Should be good now.
Local german shop was very smitten with the old battle axe. Shop owner is an older dutch guy. He was very interested in learning more about JHM after seeing the handy work. Had their website pulled up when I was in the shop picking up the car.

Nice to hear easy fix.
Your car is one of one and its not like it can be eaisly copied unless you goto jhm. The best part from what I can see is nobody would know that the car didnt come from the factory with the conversaion. Now the blower kit most non audi guys would be able to tell that. But if you were at a car show and the standard guy saw your car they would be pulling there hair out later that night when they went home and tried to search for a v8 6speed allroad.
Quick exhaust clip. I know, neutral revs are not preferred…waiting to get an external mic for the gopro. A bit of a rasp. Wonder if that is the reverb of ticking I hear under normal accel?

You can make out a slight exhaust leak sound. The exhaust dosent sound as clean as it should be
Bringing it in to local exhaust shop on Wednesday to give the system a once over. Hoping it is as simple as just refastening here and there or maybe slight interference or clearancing issue
It should be. Once you have a few miles on the exhaust if there is a leak you will get a nice collection of soot and carbon build up. It helps point out the spots where there are leaks.
Local exhaust shop said nope, no leaks. Was impressed with the system. Didn’t have much in way of possible solutions other than it does not appear to be an exhaust leak
Maybe its something that can only be heard under load when the exhaust shifts. Free revs can show some things but no real volume is going through the exhaust on a free rev.
I guess its better to hear there are no leaks but something sounds odd in the exhaust to me
Well I agree, Justin. It is only (most apparent) under load…questions left unanswered
Exhaust mystery leaks suck. If you watch a lot of exhaust videos where you can see the exhaust tips you see the exhaust will expand as much as 3 inches out under load WOT. I helped a guy in chicago with a stock exhaust with a mystery leak. Turned out it ended up being the muffler clamps leaked under WOT but the exhaust shifted back under low load. Free revs didnt put enough flow and enough load through the exhaust to show it.
I know with the all the different sets of headers I had on my 73 Camaro, my exhaust made different types of sounds each time (outside of the normal exhaust note).
It could just be the way the exhaust gas pulsates through the system causing some type of resonance etc…
I hear ya, Jake. I do want to “exhaust” all potential possible issues before accepting that hypothesis. If it is all that it is then so be it and hopefully that is the case.
Admittedly and hopefully understandably, hypersensitive to every new sound after such an extensive project
Absolutely! We want to make sure there are no issues as well.
I know and truly appreciate that fact!!!
So it never ends. Picking up rear O2 sensors, maf and plx digital boost gauge and will be mounting in this vent pod. Really like the pod setup.

Also, picking up a flat bottom 3-spoke alcantara steering wheel, alcantara shift boot and e-brake cover.

Going with simple gray stitching and top band.
Will be having a simple audisport wheel badge in place of s6 or rs6 badge.

Upside down in that image…
Now to decide which thread? Steely silver or lighter flat gray?

Kicked around blue but not a big fan of those two options.
I like the darker silver as it kinda matches your door blades… Or was that the lighter silver. Either way I like the darker
