Carbon fiber extras for B7

So after much BS on another forum trying to become a legit advertiser and the suggestion of some members I have decided to showcase my stuff here. I’ll give some background on myself. I have been an audi owner for 10 years and have been working with carbon fiber and vacuum infusion for the past 4. I have been doing watercraft parts until now. I felt my rs4 was missing something. I have made the decision to add to my product line by making some parts for the B7 platform.

I decided to start with seat backs. I took a mold from one of my seat back covers and made these

Secondly I made a deal with argon creative to buy their drivers side engine compartment bottle cover mold since they discontinued it. Once that arrives I will be making them.

My 3rd project will be a chin spoiler similar to the one offered by argon, but I want it to flow better with the bumper in the center and make it just a bit less agrssive.

4th and final idea I have in my head is a rear diffuser. Nothing too flashy, I have a few sketches so far but nothing in the works.

Before I go posting any pricing I plan to contact admin on here to properly get set up as an advertiser, and hopefully not get the same treatment I found on another site. So here are a few more pics for now and feel free to follow us on instagram or Facebook Rage Composite Works. it’s mostly free style jet ski stuff, but you can reach us there if you don’t get me here. I’m open to suggestions for parts to make. I’m not really into wrapping existing parts, I’d rather make a full replacement part.

Glad you decided to make it over here man. I think you will find far less BS than the other place. Stick around if you’re interested in more technical discussions. I’m not certain on the advertising restrictions or if it’s even allowed here, but I am definitely interested in the airbox duct you mentioned and possibly a front splitter.

I’m interested in tech discussion for sure. I have big plans to mod. My TT was a fully built big turbo car. I don’t leave shit alone for long. Cold air kit is another thing I really want to do.

normally you’re fine offering your services here, the owner of the site doesn’t need any advertising dollars. you were up front about what you do, and that’s step one. maybe change your signature to add company details (transparency is #1 here). also be aware you won’t be able to edit posts for a while, you can contact me or the other mods if there are things needing editing.

welcome, looks like you do some nice work. get into doing golf r stuff, I’ll test the parts for ya haha

Yep front lip sounds good and pillars

Well then in that case,

Pricing is as follows:

Seat back covers 500.00 for a pair. Your old covers are required for the brackets that need to be removed and transferred. Old ones will be returned to you with the new ones, just missing the plastic brackets on the back.

Group buy, 5 people and the price will drop by 50.00, 10 and the price will drop 75.00. I have a set in the works now and can be ready to ship out by the end of the week.

Pricing on the other parts is still tbd. I want to guess 275 ~ 300 on the bottle cover, 950 on the lip spoiler and rear diffuser I’m not sure yet how it will even work since the lower valance is part of the bumper other than the grille.

Thanks for the interest

Glad to see you over here. I told him to come over here because there is less bullshit going on. This is also the guy i was talking about who will possibly be able to make the DTM front and rear spoiler from my original pieces for those of us who have the flaking clearcoat.

Also Brian just so you understand how this site works. They are VERY big on honesty and transparency. As long as you are up front and open everyone is cool. It’s when people say one thing and then do another is when you get called out. As long as you open you will be fine. Ive been talking to you on AZ in PM and you seem pretty cool so i dont see there being any issues.

Plus your work looks awesome and it really looks like you could be making some great option for our platform.

BTW with Ocarbon going to shit, you should think about making carbon fiber replacement parts for the interior trim. Another would be Carbon fiber mirror caps. The only legit mirror caps im aware of are OSIR and i inquired about them but they want 550 bucks and like a 3 month wait. ECS sells a verson but they are plastic with carbon on outstide and they want 350 ish.

What about the pilars how much would you say it will be!?

I’ll look at a set of pillars tonight and see. As far as honesty I’ll say right now the only thing I’m able to produce and sell is seat backs. I won’t take payment until the set is complete, and at that point I will ask that you send yours in. Or pull yours and send me the plastic brackets and I’ll get them shipped out within 2 days of getting your brackets. Right now I’m waiting on the stuff from argon to show up. The bottle cover mold is starting to fall apart and I’ll need to do a temporary repair to pull one part to refine and make another mold. I’m not doing anything with a front spoiler until I get the one I ordered from argon to look at the fit and make the changes I want to make then lift a mold from that. I’m not going to re invent the wheel there, just re shape it. It will be a good starting point. Once I’m done with that I’ll be selling that one before I start selling my own. (I want to cover some of the shipping from them and tooling material cost.) Anyone that wants to reach me you can do so at 570 704 7498. I work a day job managing a body shop. You can also find me on Facebook if you like Brian Karolchik. I’m located in Pennsylvania 18618 Harveys Lake. Not out to burn anyone, just make parts for my car and pass them on.

Yes far less BS.

Welcome and excited to see more. If you can we all would love to read about your rs4 and what you have done and if you want to make a post about your TT that would be very interesting as well

Welcome Brian, parts look great!

I would like a carbon fiber headliner

It could be done. Not easily but yes it certainly could. I would need a roof cut from a junk yard to hold the headliner in its actual shape when installed in the car in order to make the mold. Carbon is so rigid it wouldn’t flex enough to make fit in the car if the mold wasn’t 100%.

I have actually wanted to get a roof for a long time to mold the exterior panel to make a replacement like the e90 m3. I would only consider doing this if I knew I could re sell them. The tooling and investment alone just buying the top half of a car would not be worth doing just for myself. I have seen an Evo with a carbon roof skin, it was pretty cool. Last year we had a hail storm and at the body shop I spend my days at we did several roof replacement jobs. The new Cadillac cts requires the roof panel to only be bonded down the sides, no welds except the front corners. So I guess it's not out of the question. So Jake, if you are not being sarcastic, I'd make you one in trade for a supercharger kit...

Man, I would love to have the set up to do this kind of stuff at home. I do carbon/fiberglass repair for Boeing and I have a lot of ideas for stuff to make, just don’t have the materials or space to do it. Anyway, welcome to the site, your parts look very high quality and I look forward to seeing other stuff from you!

I’d be very interested in a rear diffuser to replace the B7 S4’s boring valance if you ever got that far.

I think other B7 S4 owners (Avant and sedan) would be interested as well from what I’ve read on different forums (only B7 owners would work as B6 rear bumpers are one piece and the valance can’t be removed on its own).

Anyway, give it some thought.

(something similar to this maybe)

I am definitely in for a pair of the carbon seat backs. My stupid driver’s side seat back started coming off, my buddy noticed it the other day. Kind of shoddy build quality for an ~$80k car in my opinion.

Front lip / rear diffuser would be nice too. I also always wanted a full carbon grille insert, meaning that piece that goes across the front grille. I think that would be a nice touch, and would fit more cars than just an RS4 so you’d have a lot more buyers for it.

How would you recommend affixing the carbon fibre seat backs?

Also welcome to the site.

I need the 2 lower clips and the long strip from the stock ones. We use methacrylate adhesive on jet skis for bonding motor mounts and inserts. We use so much of it we get part a and b in 5 gallon pails. That is what I used to bond the brackets to the new seat panels. It would also work to re attach them on your stockers.

i too am interested in you TT. that section is really dead on here and i would love to see the build. In a few years i plan on building a track setup TT and would love to hear what you did.
