I believe its because it is very involved removing the actual center diff on the Autos. With the manuals the back of the tranny unbolts and allows easy removal. Iirc Keaton addressed this in some thread on AZ
just picked up car from shop last night for some diagnostics and fuel filter install and she is smooth as butter again

I have finally purchased my first JHM product! I am the proud new owner of the JHM Trio kit, and after watching some of their videos on their site I’m pretty excited to have a short shifter and also finally be close to fixing my shifter! Although its really going to suck not having a car while I ship my crossrod to JHM to be fixed.

What do u guys think of painting the grille surrounds the same gray as the UPLs?
the trio kit includes, Short shifter, solid linkage kit, and delrin bushing. Basically the short shifter does a couple things that the stock shifter lacks because it removes the plastic and rubber peices that have play in them replacing them with steel parts that will not wear out and it looks to be a very high quality short shifter assembly compared to others I’ve seen.
The solid linkage again is removing plastic and rubber peices that are prone to wear and break.
And I think the delrin bushing keeps the shifter box from moving so much but don’t quote me on that.
Oh yeah, I’ve got the short shifter in the shortest configuration - love it. I’ve wanted the solid linkage for a while, but was scared of the delrin bushing due to perceived increase of shifter vibration. Let me know how you like the combination.
edit: their delrin shift knobs are really nice too - adds needed weight to the top of the shifter. I got a black knurled delrin one w/ silver jhm 6pd font.

I have a question tho, is a RNS-E unit from Canada the same as a US unit? I’m about to buy one and I just wanted to make sure.
thats a negative on that one from me. the grill surrounds also match the chrome on the rest of the car and unless you do the same to everything I don’t think it should be changed. I did see this one B6 that painted the bottom of the upper grill black so that it looked like a B7 which I thought was pretty cool. I think since your silver if you do anything it should be black out, with black e-codes too and it would be sooo clean. I think ECS has them on sale right now for 260 or something for bottom and top.

Not sure what I’ll do without my car for 3 days but I’m sure it’ll be worth it! You get really good gas milage though when it’s parked in you garage though =P
