Everything is the same except fw
So my clutch is doing the exact same thing… you dilly dally around town and its fine, the higher you rev the harder the shift becomes… if you take it to lets say 75-7800 and throw from 3rd to 4th the pedal depresses fully, then grabs 1-2" off the floor. You can still easily let off so its not a violent shift but then pull it up with the top of your shoe while driving and everything is back to normal… so weird. I am in the process of putting miles on for another oil consumption test, have 150 miles to go then she goes back in for measurements… I’m hoping they have to pull the engine out again so they can take a look at the transmission, it’ll be on their dime and not mine…
what do you have?
Also give some details on your car
Sorry Saki, I posted on the site 2 months ago when all this started, I was the guy who bought an 07 RS4, it was smoking on startup, had the pistons re-ringed, engine tore out etc… Anyway while they were in there since everything was out I had them install the JHM stg 3 clutch, LWFW, LW Pulley, and spacers. I got the car back after all that was done, It still smoked so it went back to Audi and has been there for the past 5 weeks. Thats beside the point though.
My clutch since I got the car back has become harder to shift the higher the engine revs. If you putt around and drive like a grandma its fine, get on it at all and you go from flicking the knob to a hard push/pull into gear… Example take the car to 6500rpms, shift from 2nd to 3rd and you have to use the palm of your hand to really push the shift knob into 3rd… There is no grinding at all but a lot of effort required… and like Axel, when you take it close to redline the clutch peddle will “stick” to the floor or only come up an inch or two, won’t slip the clutch at all, take your toe and pull it up and everything works totally fine… Its got me stumped…
