“dope”, “sick” and a tendency toward flat brimmed caps
Jake @ JHM loves the flat biller hats.
They actually have moved on from flat biller to curving the bill upwards now. I was sure to make fun of him every time I saw him in California.
Half of Audi’s NA model lineup are on bags already.

funny we used to make fun of old people with the straight brims, look where it’s gone now.
I still make fun of people with straight brims.
haha yeah I couldn’t figure out what he was saying. Maybe he wears them.
I wear curved (the perfect curve to me is pretty particular) but it shows my age

why would you lower it just to park it? That’s what I don’t get. Pick a height, and bob;s your uncle. Why would it change just because you are parked?
For me I like Daily Drive, or slightly lower. And when parking, I would put it in ‘TOP’ so it’s easier to get in and out. Opposite.
TOP looks like my A4
Parked and photo mode :). It looks better sitting that way IMO and I don’t drop it to preset 1 when I park all the time. That’s the level the other photo was taken at as well. Before I get to the car I pull out my phone and go to preset 3(for getting in/out) and then will hit preset 2 while in the starting car if I don’t need allroad mode.
wonder how long you will do that. I bet in 2 months you just leave it one setting permanently
When the weather is better I’m sure it will stay more static but I play with it all the time depending on mood or passengers. Add a little, take a little away. More comfortable vs sporty, more aggressive, less aggressive etc.
I just mean because it’s new and a fun toy. Soon you’ll go ‘yawn’ and not fuck with it as much.
Do you raise it to a certain point to have the alignment done? As in you’re daily driver height and then any other position technically throws it out of alignment to some varying degree?
Just curious.
I like slightly lower than the DD stance, probably how you’ll have it in the summer. It would be a fun toy, but a bit more than I’d be willing to pay. Though it does offer some unique advantages.
Did you do anything fancy with the air tank or lines? I know a lot of guys do a whole display system in the trunk.
Yes, alignment is done at a certain “typical” height.
Here is how my trunk looks after the install

It’s all hidden in the spare well. I didn’t want to lose any functionality of the rear.
From bottom left corner going clockwise:
- water trap
- AZ OB2 compressor
- Ridetech manifold
- compressor solenoid
- Ridetech ECU
- subwoofer amp
- 5gal alumimum tank
- stock car battery in the middle

That’s fun, good stuff cory!
Wow that’s a clean install.
what are those rails you have back there? silver ones. I don’t have those.
Officially, I believe Audi calls it the “load securing system”.
It works with that telescoping aluminum bar (along the back), the expandable strap (on the side) and moveable tie-downs to keep “stuff” from moving around. It was never available in NA. I practically stole it off of eBay.de and a friend in Germany shipped it for me. I’m not sure why it never was spec’d here but it’s quite handy.
^^ They came in the C6 wagon IIRC
Yeah, could very well be…I meant that it was never offered on NA B8 Avant’s.
