Cory's B8 Avant.

^^^I hear it’s beautiful this time of the year.

It’s just as beautiful this time of year as any other

Because the hockey is on!

A picture from the other day I thought I would share…

After several weeks with air ride installed I’m quite impressed. The ride quality is easily better than coilovers and the handling feels every bit as good (or better) at similar drive height. With all the weather we’re having, the ability to adjust height has been a huge advantage. Previously with Co’s I wouldn’t even drive my car to most locations for fear of scraping or using my grill as a giant shovel. All alleviated with a touch of a button.

looks good…there is something about bagged avants that are just so good

That looks…hmmm interesting…how much did the setup run you with install? guessing 3-4K?

Funny I took the factory bags OUT of my allroad to install pss9s…but the factory components were shit and there was no such thing as an Arnott making replacement options at the time. This looks killer. How much travel, ie how much can it be raised?

I always dreamed of taking an allroad the other way with bags…up. Once I saw this.

Cory I thought you bought the air ride so you could be nice and high for winter? You’re doing it wrong…

Post a maximum high vs. maximum low pic similar to the one above. That same angle so we can really see the car.

It depends greatly on the components you choose but I didn’t want to have to do it twice so I would say I went on the “higher end”. The entire project including install worked out to a total of $5500 CAD. I’ve also since installed an optional ~$250 bluetooth module that allows me to raise/lower remotely via bluetooth from my iPhone. Toys

There’s about a 6" difference between lowest/highest. The lowest (0 PSI) isn’t useable for driving because it’s so tucked and the camber is crazy.

Haha, I know that one well. I had two XC70’s in the past and several other Volvo models.

I’ve been driving around the majority of the time with an “elevated stance” but I would say this is a little better look for a photo

I’ll see about taking some pictures from top to bottom and at a few of my presets.

Ian, this ones for you since I know you love the slammed look

^^^^ thats fuckin ill…ha

Karma props for what is probably the nicest B8 avant build yet. I can imagine what you’d do with the new allroad.

If I see you around burlington I’ll honk and wave. You’ll be easy to spot leaving a red stripe behind you everywhere…

needs 40mm spacers.

or just lots more camber.

Holy shit. . . I was expecting something ridiculous saki, but that still was impressive. So many questions, so much fail!

I have just never understood the appeal or purpose of this stuff. Then again, I didn’t understand the hype over spinners either.

The appeal or purpose of what? That was a joke. The picture in the snow is as low as I ever park unless someone specially asks how low it will go.

he means retarded slammed retards

like the photo you posted. he doesn’t realise you’re being sarcastic and don’t slam your shit like that. Note that he actually quoted the retarded slammed photo.

I’m not too clear on how you feel about slammed cars…like/dislike?

My comment was not in direct reference to cory_can or your project, as Saki said I was commenting on the individual picture.

Air rides, I understand. Lowering or raising a vehicle, yup. Driving or parking a car on the ground (slammed) I don’t understand.

All depends on your definition of slammed. You said slammed. I said retarded slammed. Those are different.

Slammed = really low. Can look good. Can look gay. Fine line.

Retarded Slammed = …serious? Do I need to explain? I even called it ‘retarded’ to help. If it’s retarded, it’s bad.

Haha, I was joking…I think I know how you feel on the subject.

Since you got the bags, have you been saying hella a lot?
