Does JHM Still Technically Hold the B5 S4 Record 1/4 Mile Time?

Why not post this over on AZ? Instead, you’re kissing Tony’s ass, sharing your love for the 996tt, which in my opinion is the least desirable of the 911’s.

I just watched that gt’ed s4 video to make myself feel better because I’m getting a cold and it cured me. Why aren’t people doing gt builds anymore??? I think I would literally take a vacation and fly to wherever one of those cars was to get a ride in it.

which one… The gt vs k04

You should watch the one at the dragstrip with Mike from vast driving count vohn’s gt car.

It’s a great example of taking it easy on the launch, shifting literally like a grandma… And still trapping mid 130s.

That’s what these dorks don’t understand… The quarter mile won’t kill your car, and if you have video showing you launching it easy, driving like a grandma and still run mid 11s and trap mid 130s that shows a ton about what the car can do.

^^ Fantastic video that I haven’t seen before. Really puts this Tial/EPL bullshit into perspective. That video was 6 years ago and K04/RS6r’s are the only thing coming close.

Also shows you the weirdness in the NHRA rules for road legal vehicles and roll cages. I think as soon as you put a roll cage in, you are no longer street legal in most jurisdictions unless you drive around in a helmet.

I wonder if this will be the ceiling that the B5 2.7T’s and B7 RS4’s will hit.

Yea gt/k04. Damn haven’t seen that video either, are there any 10 second runs with a gt setup? seems to be much more aggressive than a k04 or rs6r car.

I wouldn’t say I was kissing tony’s ass… but read whatever you want into that. His 911 customers actually race their cars at the track (like my friends car) which is more than can be said about EPL b5 s4’s.

I didn’t post it over there because they have no sense of humor and would think its trashing when I am just making a joke (as many have) that EPL Tial cars don’t hardly ever go to the track, and when they do, they don’t run fast times. I posted it over here because its funny and there are no advertisers here to piss off.

I agree with you, but now you have to deal with the epl customers who worship their dyno sheets. I am almost certain that they are now trying to convince Audizine to ban you. When you are on that forum that is full of flops, you can not go against the grain. The other problem you have is that people on this forum don’t really care about you. When you are banned from Audizine from making Tony look bad after he blatantly said that he doesn’t care about the 1/4 mile, you wont really have a forum to great havoc on. You are definitely skating on thin ice. If I were you, I would stop posting on both forums for awhile.

yeah its the 700RWHP rwd car now with log manifolds and a built 3L and bullseye turbos

… And thanks to Mike tuning, a 13 second time slip. :-[

??? what did it trap?

JHM does not have the record for the fastest street trim B5 S4, Maybe on K04’s or whatever they were running but not the fastest, not in the USA.

ya

What exactly is street trim about a car missing a headlight, no exhaust, no back seats, no front seat (ad who knows what else) ?

[quote]Meanwhile, EuroCode was struggling to find the speed of its initial run as the air temperature continued to rise. They eventually hit 11.3sec, then finally reached 11 dead before we began to question their insistence on retaining the full interior. After that, they disappeared back to their trailer and stripped out the seats and removed the exhaust. Returning to the track, the S4 ripped to 10.87sec at 131mph and was promptly removed from the track by the officials for not having a cage fitted.

Was the track ever even nhra/ihra certified… And did they ever produce any time slips or a thorough modlist?

They had front seats, back seat is like 50-90lbs? 100lbs? not a big deal he took the headlight out for better airflow, otherwise that was his daily driven car. He does have timeslips for the runs. I dont know if it is NHRA certified I’ve never been there. But it was a shitty uphill track when it was open, and it was a 90Degree day. Either way that car was faster than JHM’s.

From my recollections its not certifyed and no exhaust. No seats headslight and not dailly driven

10.87

Jhm full everything actually dauly driven
10.88
And still on the road and running. So yes jhm is still tue fastest street trim car

For refrence directly from the article

Actually it was daily driven, and if you guys like to nitpick so much it is the fastest S4 in the country without back seats, for almost 6 years. There you go happy?

They took the back seats and passenger seat out from what I understood. And the catback. Not sure about the downpipes.

Uphill…lol.

downpipes were on so was front seat you can even see it in that picture. Fontana raceway was built in the parking lot of Fontana speedway before it closed it was a uphill racetrack.

~50Ft or so uphill, you need to check google Earth or give them a call for the exact amount.
