If Apr gave me a kit for half price in exchange for forum publicity and show use of my car, I would be quick to let people know. He never did…we badgered arin and he admitted it.
Sure that would be cool if they had actually tested the kit for two years in all climates before putting it in my car. Considering they rushed the product out and have blown 4 RS4 motors and now the R8 blown motors are happening, I would never even consider the Apr kit.
But I would also not be attacking the competition as part of the deal . That’s fucking mental.

I still stand by initial post, I would take a free kit to do “clean” advertising for them, I suppose I should’ve elaborated, but that’s precisely what I meant. I get where you guys are coming from, trust me. I’ve seen some nonsensical posts from him that made me question his character. I definitely am not in here to defend him, just saying it’s not up to me what he says or does. I would take a free $15k blower 10 times out of 10, and if someone asked me if I was “sponsored” or not I would tell them the truth. Can’t speak to how they work on the RS, but I bought that kit for my B6, which looks exactly the same, and I was happy to be able to lower the car, but other than that it wasn’t much different than stock. The price is only $75 different between the S4 & RS4 kits but they look almost identical, anybody know the actual difference(s)? I’m guessing the spring rates differ but that’s it. I’ll have my B6 S4 kit with 5,000+/- miles on it up for sale in 2 weeks if you want to save some money.

Slow down there champ. I never said I “liked him.” I said I “have no problem with him” as he’s never done anything to ME personally. I also said it’s not my business the way he handles himself and his car, and that I’ve read a few posts that made me question his character SINCE I’ve met him.

As for saying APR is the best, if paid to do so, that is definitely a lie because you just said you would say it if they paid you (irrespective of the facts). You said you’d say it…and we all know you have no experience with any of the kits to make that determination, so clearly you said the value in the offer was enough to buy your opinion. Not in so many words, but if you want to pretend you didn’t say that, hey that’s your choice. Fortunately for us, you don’t have the ability to edit your posts. You’re right – I shouldn’t have said “I dont have a problem with him”. That’s a pretty scummy thing to do, make false claims about other products. So in that sense, yes I have a problem with the way he handles himself in that regard. Personally, he’s never done anything to me, that’s really all I meant.
Label me all you want. Still never said I would lie about the products on my car. Advertising your product is all about saying “it is the best.” What it’s NOT about is dragging other companies through the mud, and that is where I FULLY 150% agree with you guys that FT has gone wrong.
