Seriously. I love watching people drown in a teaspoon of water. The funny thing is he has screenshotted/saved the fucking printed lists of finishers and saved them as PDFs, loaded them to a document sharing site, and able to link that to us lol.
More importantly after lots of searching I haven’t been able to find any data to show there is a delay valve… I bave seen in all years for the s5 that the clutch is too weak…
USPmotorsports says there is one and they offer a braided line to replace to OEM clutch line.
I would agree that the OE clutch may be too weak, and it it is, it is needed before I do ANY engine mod, period.
From picture of other S5 clutch failures, I notice the friction material is just ruined/delaminated. but if it’s just from force, then the springs on the disc hub would leave impact marks from bottoming out, but there are no witness marks, so therefore, it could be the delay valve, if there is one, could prevent the pressure plate from biting as hard as it could. I guess I can buy the line kit and just test it? It’s not that much so I guess that I could
My dog ate it, remember? Or that seems to be the running joke on me
If anyone wishes to verify it, they simply can look it up on the website: http://www.1320go.com
but you will have to be a member.
I’ve taken screen shots from the website to provide data from an evening from a couple of months ago at Sonoma raceway, where the Autolite nationals are currently held. When I contacted the track to have time slips reprinted to provide the time slips in paper form, I was advised by a good customer of mine to check out this 1320go website. This is what the track advises people as well.
It’s paperless, and in Norcal, this is an acceptable format. Much is accepted in Norcal that isn’t elsewhere, except Don Cherry’s warbdrobe selection. He should stick with Jack Victor!
I have nothing to gain from providing this information to this forum. I’m simply providing baseline info, since S5 owners just lower their cars, wax them and have pics of cats, and never go to the track, I went tot he track on a wednesday night, and two days later, timeslips were taken away in the recycling .
But what the heck, my dog ate them is more plausible
So now I’m a useless tit? Way to go from facts to personal attack, like the Norcal “if you know what I mean” comment you made about Anthony Marino. Who cares if anyone is a LGBT community or not. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hate_speech
double entendre?
tit= bird, or nipple?
Sorry if you don’t accept empirical data from a website thats is an impartial DATAbase for timed runs for…50+tracks. The 1320go website helps with looking up competitors to get a feel of how well their vehicle runs compared to dial in and the driver’s reaction times. It discloses eveything the timeslip does, but puts it online for everyone to see and if you look closely, you’ll notice Santa Pod raceway on the list, so you cold dig up times on Rotrex customers or PES customers that made passes/raced at the Santa Pod track. you just need names and dates and the rest is empirical data. your loss, not mine. Sacramento raceway isn’t on the 1320go website.
speaking of PES customers, from a forum that banned a moderator on this forum, TWICE…
here’s an inferred disappointment, I guess more with the vehicle, not the PES kit, but interesting none the less. http://www.a5oc.com/forums/s5-general-q/29856-maybe-selling.html
Everything you’ve done has just been odd. You started a thread complaining about your clutch and an issue that no one has heard of. Then you say you will post the slip, but it takes you how many days to link us to a screen shot?? like you just found the interwebz or something.
Your stock time is probably one of the fastest if not the fastest out there, but your making excuses about your clutch and delay valve and blah blah. You also say the word empirical too much.
It’s just odd that you make time to hit the strip, run a pretty decent stock tune time… yet trash the slips.
Why is the 60’ zeroed out on that stupid screen shot?
You call out people too, so maybe you can understand why no time slip=fishy…
Bro if you cant mamage to take a picture of ur time slip and post it. No one is going to waste time clicming ur link to see what ur talking abkut…the rules are simple post a video or time slip…
As for thr clutch. All the s5 guys have the same failure. Its not from the valve that isnt a delay valve more so a perportional valve…they fail because the clutch amd pressure plate is weak…
Check the early s5 and see if all years have that…let us know that will play more of a roll in makeing a case

I don’t want to ruin my clutch yet. and suspect that if any delay valve is in the hydraulic line, then any upgrade is subject to the same trouble or premature failure. read what I write, it’s self evident.

I can’t explain the zeroed 60’ time, but I will convert RTF to jpg for those willing to look at ONLINE data from a track event. I didn’t know how unaccepting people would be about track/ET. If you want my 60’ it was on my original posting…wait, lemme get it on another reply
I’ll dig up more parts pics for the B8 S4 as well as the S5, earier and later!
I had no idea how serious your peeps are about paper time slips, but I’ll get that clutch line purchased and installed and make some runs when it’s nice and cold out!
here’s a cut and paste of my post from a couple of months ago. these are the times of my Elimination run
I noticed the headwind died down, so I changed my dial in from 13.7 to a 13.65
stage quickly, set parking brake, brought revs to 3500rpm and launched-no bog, tires didn’t light up, had a touch of the good wheel hop that my old buick used to have when the launch was ideal.
1.966 60’
5.643 330’
8.684 660’
11.27 1000’
13.491 et @100.15 broke out by a bunch
I dabbed the brakes because I had my guy beat, but I’m still learning my car’s laugh delay and so I was cutting horrid reaction times which you can’t do if you want to continue into the rounds of elimination. my guess is that my mph would have been a touch higher, but the smell of my roasted clucth after the last two runs will prevent me from going back out there until I figure out why my clutch is slipping from the first to second gear transition, as in it won’t hold second upon fast clutch pedal engagement. again, I know what I’m going and I’m not speed shifting!!!
I’ve rearched the forums and some people are blaming a delay valve that is conducive to super plush clutch engagement, but needs to be removed if I want to drag race.
as you can see, I haven’t recanted any of my story. I’ll go to the track again, just not keen on ruining a clutch on a car with 16k on it.
