well, they’ve only had the exhaust parts together for 3 days so we’ll give them some slack lol

I imagine they want to get things perfect before they go promising anything again. Their premature ejaculation of dyno results last time, only to find the prototype would be revised a bunch including all new mufflers…that appears to have been a lesson they learned well. I for one hope they take their time and do it right.

Problem is they’re going to put a 2.75" exhaust on an RS4…and dyno it…and frankly the numbers will be pretty weird for just exhaust. We all have seen that cars don’t really take advantage of exhaust without a recalibrated ECU to do so. If their exhaust alone is picking up 30 WHP with no tune, I will be very sketpical. I sure hope others will be as well.

Ideally they would do it on a tuned car…but of course they aren’t likely to run out and get an APR tune or GIAC. Will be interesting to see how they sell this.

Not quite sure how I feel about the sound. It doesn’t really sound like a RS4, or even an Audi for that matter, but it is very unique. A good comparison and other clips will be nice though.
At first it sounded like it was a video that was dubbed over by some sports car racing through a tunnel though, lol.

Is bad I thought it’d be hilarious to see/hear a crisp money shift right at the 28 second mark right when the hard decel/corner/downshift happens lol. I just couldn’t help but laugh at the prospect of something like that happen during a exhaust promo video.

I was thinking how hilarious it would have been if he made that turn at 32 seconds way too wide and hit the truck. Just kidding :smiley: It does sound pretty weird though in certain parts. The video quality is absolutely terrible too. They can’t afford a $250 GoPro HD to properly market their exhaust?

Dude…it’s two kids barely out of high schoolliving the dream on their dads’ dime.

Their ‘headquarters’ is the Enrique guy’s dad’s company. His dad answers the phone if you call. His English isn’t so great (but neither is my Spanish) so if you ask for EBwerks he hasn’t a fucking clue what you’re talking about. If you ask for Enrique he gives you Enrique’s cell phone number.

Their ‘head engineer’ is ben…who is 20 and goes to a fucking arts and technology college.

It’s a joke.

Funniest part? 6speedonline allowed them to be an approved sponsor lol. Shows how dilligent 6speed is in choosing their partners. They have to be pretty desperate for cash. AZ used to be like that before reaching critical mass. A company in California called Ghost Squad Garage signed on as an advertiser to sell their intake pipe that replaced the stock accordion hose from the airbox to the intake manifold. It was a fucking scam…it didn’t fit…it did fuck all…and when people started looking for their money back, we found out that company’s ‘headquarters’ was a fucking storage locker!

The exhaust sound is not really my cup of tea, but I always say exhaust sound is a personal thing. Plus it’s really hard to judge from a video, especially one with that quality.

Wonder when can we see #s? Dyno, Drag, whatever.

Just when you think ben is got soemthing that might be cool he fucks up everything by letting mickFail pop in and then lets pop this gem on the dyno and see how far the laugh fest can go from there.

An already spirling lack of respect and honesty is about to take a turn for the beyond laughabel. The days of selling the exhaust on its tone is going to be now relagated to the B5 world of who can have the biggest laugh fest on the dyno only to have the biggest laughable charicture in the RS4 game (mickF the Fail boat guy) pimp an already teedering exhaust.

Sorry ben Ive actually gained some excitment for you but then laughed it off when you mentioned you going to the dyno and then having MickF be your side show barker.

You want free advice… Try to stop your own kamakizi act and just do what ligit companys do… put a sound clip out and show it fits… Your Rep Via MickF and your old games is bad enough. Put some didstance between this and just go from tehre.

I agree with the part about distancing himself from Mick, which I think they’ve already tried to do to a point. But I don’t think the exhaust is going to crash and burn on the dyno. I’m actually expecting some pretty solid numbers because it seems to me that they’ve assembled a pretty good product. The performance should be there thanks to the 2.75" piping and a design that looks like it will flow pretty well.

That said, if they want to win the performance guys over, a day at the strip would work well. Take a RS4 there with a stock system on it, run 3 times or so. Pull the stock system and install the EBWerks exhaust. Then run the car a bunch more times. Even if it’s a hot day, the conditions will be the same for both tests. IIRC, that scenario is similar to what Justincredible did for the different S4 exhaust options a few years back.

I agree as well. At this juncture and with all the drama it might just be a good idea to keep this exhaust in as open of a spectrum as possible. With all the claims of dishonesty It might just be best to keep with a distance from what people can look at as another altered variable

I’m honestly surprised that nobody is ripping on his driving. Taking the corner at 8 tenths on the street with other traffic is pretty dumb, especially because you can’t see what’s coming your way with all the trees there, and he’s doing a shitty job of it to boot - no throttle control at all, it seems.

Anywho, I’ve not seen the poor GoPro audio you guys are talking about. We use them with the solid case only (not the vented rear case) and they produce pretty decent sound, but we’re also filming honest race cars, which tend to be very loud anyway.
