EBWerks vid I just watched of their new exhaust.

That’s if he doesn’t delete them first.

I am glad I own an RS. These forums are pure entertainment.

ebworx exhaust tips on Ben’s car.

They look kinda small and brutally misaligned, don’t they? A bit too square too.

I like how the left one is tucked in and almost touching the rear valence, while the right one is a good 3" too low. Good quality stuff there! Funnny, this is a photoshoot Ben had done for his car. Hope they don’t use it to promote babyhuey and julio iglesius exhaust co.

Here’s stock for reference

interesting… With a closer look at mick’s car… his tips are properly aligned but due to the angle you miss at first glance that the tips are considerably smaller. There must be a 2-3 inch gap from the outside valance to the muffler tips.

at least in black they dont look like honda accord exhaust tips anymore lol

It makes sense now that i think of it.

OEM RS4 is actually a dual tip exhaust isnt it? You forget that though since there is an oval tip wrapped around both.

OEM RS4 is like a B7 exhaust with wise from tip to tip (im talking what comes out of the core and not the cometic portion of the tips).

The EBWerks is like a B6 S4. one fat pipe coming out which is about half the size of the B7’s width.

I would take a guess that the EBwerks tips are only 75% the size of the oem RS4 tips.

Swensa… buy an EBwerks exhaust so we can compare them!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I am not sure Ben’s exhaust in the pictures…perhaps a proto? The blue car’s tips look a bit different.

I don’t know why they don’t just slap something that looks 100% OEM on there.

If you ever custom make an exhaust, the tips are shockingly expensive. You anticipate they’re going to be 20-30 bucks each but you’re soon sorely disappointed.

I’ve never built a custom exhaust nor do I know anything about the process; can you just use the stock tips if you do go custom? Or are they restrictive in some way?

Nothing is cheap and I was surprised by how expensive exhaust tips are. Most of the tips I have looked at are closer to a hundred bucks.

were you looking at regular tips? those midget tips must have cost only 50 then :stuck_out_tongue:

Ironically, I’m pretty sure those “midget” tips are the same Sebring tips that are on the JHM…pretty sure that’s the prototype exhaust on Ben’s car.

Aren’t the “final” tips EB is using a CNC part? I thought they had a thread about that on QW? Maybe I’m confusing it with a different thread/exhaust.

Nah. JHM tips are HUGE!!! The red car right at the start of this video.

Yeah those (now mine) tips are huge. LOL. I just had to say that.

Well, that settles that. Pretty sure they are still Sebring tips though…or at least attached to Sebring cans. They are not the same as the final production tips.

yeah those cans looks very much like the JHM b6 exhaust cans.

Wouldnt that be funny? all that talk of saying JHM RS4 sounds bad, we need a more sophisticated sound, we dont want cans made in china ect… only to go with B6 cans in the end? lol

edit

Def not sebring cans… quality of the exterior is WAY better than whats on mick’s car

Finish is up to the customer/company

Fast intentions stuff always looks world class. Danny goes way overboard.

If EBHworks is using Sebring from what went down before I reckon that won’t last long.

not just the polished finish though. i was refering more how the cans at sebring are flush at the ends.

i have a feeling they dont like me now…they may not give me a deal.

this is how that works…

i had been asked to contact enrique from benriquewerks by bennie

basically they would give me a deal based on conditions

the conditions had something to do with using the other rs4 exhausts that i had at the time (jhm/capristo/stock) to help them compare theirs to those. they wanted me to swap exhaust and do dynos for them

also, they would like you to promote it for them on forums

i dont need their exhaust that much…they originally told me i could have it for 3600 or maybe even at cost bc I did offer to buy it/install it and meet up with ppl locally aka east coast nj/pa/de/ny area to check it out.

but that is all i would be interested in doing…not the swapping of exhausts to do dynos for them or promote their exhaust on the internet for them.

now you know why they dont post up a price…price is based on conditions
