Yea sorry bear, when I have a fresh clutch that I’m comfortable with I’d have no problem giving it a shot but as is I’m not too confident in the clutch right now. My engagement point is much lower than I remember from the last outing.

you ran a 12.4 feb 2012 with -880? DA I believe. Tonight should be +800-900 when you go. +1500 DA swing in the wrong direction.
Things going against you…
not as good DA as your Feb 2012 visit, Stock clutch which you aren’t confident in, Your driver has never launched your car, 100 tune (not 104), no CPS which does help with repeated runs and 100 file timing pull/higher IATs especially in top of third/fourth gear (at least from what I have seen).
Mods you said should help vs last trip…
Test pipes (unproven for the most part?), revised v2.2 tune (wasn’t that more of a winter time bypass fix??), JHM LW rear rotors (5.5 lbs loss per rear corner), and Roc Euro intake.
Hope he runs 11s and proves me wrong. And I hope your clutch doesn’t give him trouble.
Oh snap… Has that been happening a lot? I haven’t really been following DSG issues for awhile. They could always try and set the ecu back to default setting (or something)… It seemed to work for George.
There have been a couple of Dsg failures and a boatload of mechattonics failures.
Funny thing is the guys who took their car to the strip the most… Primetime and 81beers…were fine. No idea what causes these issues. Just Audi I guess.
It’s something that I’ve read on the forums before and I know more or less where it’s going. I just want the involved parties to handle it without pressure from anywhere. It’s not something that hasn’t happened before.
