Jones has already proved you can run meth with the 100oct giac tune, I don’t see why I couldn’t with a tune meant for it
You also trapped 109 stock… Compared to my 104. so trapping 4mph more with tunes doesn’t surprise me
Did you read the thread? I ran a 12.3 already, dsg tune lw wheels with sticky tires and I don’t think 11’s are out of the picture in the right weather

Honestly it just seems to me that Saxon must be getting everything for free because nobody else would be defending a tune that isn’t coming close to OTS competitors…
Fact of the matter is that we all strive to be the fastest and I think GIAC and APR are the only two companies in the B8 market at the moment who are able to do that…
12.3 is just a mediocre time in my opinion. Lets look at my pops B8.5 DSG S4 for example.
Ran at Atco a few weeks ago. OEM 19" wheels (~54lbs), OEM Brakes, OEM Cats, OEM Downpipes and full weight it was able to crack 11’s on pump gas in 95+ degree weather with a 1500DA+ with just GIAC Stage 2, Catback, intake, heat exchanger and DSG tune. That’s about .3 seconds and 2-3mph more than your car and you ran in better conditions…
I ran my 6MT S4 at Englishtown in the end of April in better conditions ~70 degrees and I was also able to crack in the 11’s on pump fuel.
Another GIAC customer with just Stage 2, DSG tune and intake was also able to crack 11’s on pump fuel.
Zach from AWE who also runs GIAC Stage 2 on his B8.5 S5 is also running 11’s on pump fuel.
Ron on APR Stage 2 with supporting mods was also able to do 11’s on pump.
So they’re now 5 B8/B8.5 S4/S5’s running 11’s on pump fuel. Some with very minimal mods and some a little more than others.
Fastest ET is Zach from AWE with an 11.88 and fastest trap is rons car with a 116.99mph.
I just honestly don’t see your car gaining that much with LW wheels and LW rotors. You already said your maxed out on boost with no bypass- I mean I would love to see logs and see where your timing is but you failed to post those as well.
I don’t think any B8 has gained more than .2-.3 seconds and 2-3mph from race gas so what makes you think you will go from 12.3 to 11.5 with meth and a custom tune. I just don’t see the logic behind it…
A DSG tune has proven to do nothing on the B8. I think it beits a B8.5 though as it gives it the same redline as the B8. DSG tune on a B8.5 basically makes the car act like a stock B8 from a transmission standpoint so I would hardly call that a mod that will be ground breaking for you.
Fact is EPL is without a doubt an inferior tuner to GIAC and APR.
Heck even my dads car on REVO ran 12.2 on pump with no pulley and all else stock I think besides an intake iirc.

Again I would love to meet you at Atco and do some runs on a nice cool night. It’s a 3 hour drive for me but I’ll make the trip if your willing to meet there. Would love to do some heads up runs and see the difference in the tunes in person at the same track.

This is kinda what we’ve been telling him, but he refuses to listen (probably because we don’t have B8 S4s). Maybe he will listen to a guy like you who has experience with multiple B8 S4s.
I just think he is delusional and can’t go with an OTS tune because he will now look foolish.
…and I agree, I think he will be lucky to go 11s period on meth, let alone 11.50s…lol
I personally think this car either needs literally ideal conditions with a properly modded car to go 11.5x or just a bigger blower because at this point even the best of us have hit a wall at 11.6x.
My pops car did 11.62 with GIAC Stage 2, DSG tune, Catback, intake and CPS in decent conditions so that’s the only reason I think 11.5 is possible because if he had LW wheels and LW rotors on that day it would have done it.

It may be sax-off going forward, as the site owner is getting fed up with the couple of trolls around here lately.
He has made it clear that he values being able to flash himself, at the expense of speed. Or at least that is what he has convinced himself of valuing.
I am also pretty sure that if Arin gave him a deal, he was probably giving him the Stasis price. I bet EPL was fighting that switch pretty hard, and gave him some free parts to avoid being embarrassed.

So it’s not his negative karma rating? It’s that people didn’t agree with him ? It looked like people were actually trying to help him. I don’t think he wanted help he wanted to be right. From the looks of all the performance figures offered in this thread alone he should have seen enough.
It also takes way more than 2 people to drive your karma down.
So members who claim that their purpose on here is simply to troll the forum will in fact not be coming back. God tried just putting them in time-outs, thinking that, combined with negative whatever karma, would set them straight. Clearly it hasn’t this past week. So ya, a few people, saxon included, won’t be coming back.
It’s a smaller forum, and single-purpose trolls can really bog down threads.
And euroswagr is right about the karma thing. Takes nearly the entire forum to get as low as saxon et al.
I said that because some guys think the only guys who think they are stupid are the ones who say stuff. I think it is actually usually opposite. I think the guys who don’t bother to say anything are more likely the ones dishing out the negative karma.
Best part is I have nothing to do with any of the moderation or banning/suspensions, yet I’m sakihomo somehow. Imagine that.

There are 2 moderators (that I know of)…beemercer and clochner.
If you get suspended it’s almost never to do with the moderators, as they are primarily there to look after moving stuff/spliutting threads, helping people with complicated edits etc. They aren’t banning people. God is the only one with that ability. And in reality, when these people have karma that is -a million, that’s what triggers their suspension, automatically.
