Honestly it just seems to me that Saxon must be getting everything for free because nobody else would be defending a tune that isn’t coming close to OTS competitors…
Fact of the matter is that we all strive to be the fastest and I think GIAC and APR are the only two companies in the B8 market at the moment who are able to do that…
12.3 is just a mediocre time in my opinion. Lets look at my pops B8.5 DSG S4 for example.
Ran at Atco a few weeks ago. OEM 19" wheels (~54lbs), OEM Brakes, OEM Cats, OEM Downpipes and full weight it was able to crack 11’s on pump gas in 95+ degree weather with a 1500DA+ with just GIAC Stage 2, Catback, intake, heat exchanger and DSG tune. That’s about .3 seconds and 2-3mph more than your car and you ran in better conditions…
I ran my 6MT S4 at Englishtown in the end of April in better conditions ~70 degrees and I was also able to crack in the 11’s on pump fuel.
Another GIAC customer with just Stage 2, DSG tune and intake was also able to crack 11’s on pump fuel.
Zach from AWE who also runs GIAC Stage 2 on his B8.5 S5 is also running 11’s on pump fuel.
Ron on APR Stage 2 with supporting mods was also able to do 11’s on pump.
So they’re now 5 B8/B8.5 S4/S5’s running 11’s on pump fuel. Some with very minimal mods and some a little more than others.
Fastest ET is Zach from AWE with an 11.88 and fastest trap is rons car with a 116.99mph.
I just honestly don’t see your car gaining that much with LW wheels and LW rotors. You already said your maxed out on boost with no bypass- I mean I would love to see logs and see where your timing is but you failed to post those as well.
I don’t think any B8 has gained more than .2-.3 seconds and 2-3mph from race gas so what makes you think you will go from 12.3 to 11.5 with meth and a custom tune. I just don’t see the logic behind it…
A DSG tune has proven to do nothing on the B8. I think it beits a B8.5 though as it gives it the same redline as the B8. DSG tune on a B8.5 basically makes the car act like a stock B8 from a transmission standpoint so I would hardly call that a mod that will be ground breaking for you.
Fact is EPL is without a doubt an inferior tuner to GIAC and APR.
Heck even my dads car on REVO ran 12.2 on pump with no pulley and all else stock I think besides an intake iirc.
Not trying to hate or be a dick just giving you facts and reality.
Again I would love to meet you at Atco and do some runs on a nice cool night. It’s a 3 hour drive for me but I’ll make the trip if your willing to meet there. Would love to do some heads up runs and see the difference in the tunes in person at the same track.
