You had me at smoking hot waitress
Pics or it didn’t happen…
And just so everyone is clear, the group buy discount does not extend to anything that goes on at the Deli.
What happens at the Deli, stays at the Deli.
He had me at Italian deli.
it was good. if u guys go to the Vaughn location u should get a bite there. I had veal and sauted vegtables, calamari and shrimp, and a caeser salad with fresh Italian bread. and ya the waitress topped it all off lol. I was havin fun makin her blush.
trim looks great. my phone died while I was there and I just got home now and its dark so ill take some pics tm.
I do count towards the group discount for u guys. he complained that he under quoted us and he said the rear trunk piece was way harder than he thought. he kept true to the deal though and I gave him 300 cash and it took around 3 hours.
funny story. I was at the restaurant for about an hour and a half and I came back to see how he was doing. when I came around the corner my car was still sitting out front and I was like wtf why hasn’t he started. I was just about to go in and ask him what was up when I glanced at the car and noticed it had the red trimmed seats. not my car lol. literally the exact same car minus the seats. he even had the same tires I do. I wanted to get a pic of them together but the guy left before I was finished.

that Gallardo is a complete matte white wrap and carbon fiber wrapped hood and roof. I hate the fake carbon stuff I think it really takes away from that car. the exhaust on that thing was deafening. the exhaust on the Porsche was absolutely ridiculous it sounded like a civic with no muffler.
he had an aston martin there too and a GTR he seems to be doing quite well for himself and has tons of business.
The twin car is hilarious!
Those guys don’t play around

I know right.
hey swag can u toss a pic of your rings up here.
They look really dark in pictures but like I’ve mentioned they almost match my titanium mirrors perfect. If I were you I’d use it on my rings and mirror caps. If you don’t like it, peel it off.
just a couple shots in the garage. im quite happy with it. I cant wait to wash it and snap a few decent pics. I think im gonna start the springs tomorow

The mirrors definitely need to be calmed down a bit on a black car that is ti’d out.
I am not sure on my car as the car is silver and I may be able to get away with it.
I may just plastics that trunk thing if the price goes up or If it’s not perfect with the wrap. That’s a pretty easy one to do with dip. If I’m already dipping the rear rings and painting the mufflers (high temp paint) , no big deal
Looks great! Very clean job.
Also good to hear that you count towards the GB.
After you clean the car up, it would be nice to see a before/after comparison pic in normal outdoor lighting.
ill throw the springs on and take pics when that’s done. I cant wash it for a few days anyway.
sak, if u choose to just rattle can your tips don’t use the flameproof header paint, it dries to a flat brown and looks shitty. the caliper paint is gloss but looks way better and should be ok on just the tips. or try another brand but I bought the header paint and was very disappointed in the brown finish.

Cool thanks
I was thinking maybe of BBQ paint
raudidrama did a DIY job on his milltek exhaust. He used high temp duplicolor paint. After around a year he reported back that it still looked excellent.
Nice matte finish.
[quote=raudiwhiner]It was the best option considering my circumstances. I prepped the areas by hitting it with an sanding brush on my drill. After it was all scuffed up and cleaned by the brush, I used Duplicolor’s paint prep cleaner and then a soft microfiber towel to wipe of the cleaner. No primer was used and the paint was made specifically for headers and exhaust manifolds. It has ceramic in it and I don’t think that it gonna pose any issues down to road. The finish came out just as good looking as the finishes that was on the stuff at Pentrate Metal Treatment. $16 in paint, $3. in prep cleaner and I’m done.

ya that looks really good. I would def use the duplicolour.
im torn on doing the tips. I love how nice and shiny they are but I also really like that black too.
The black is nice and contrasty on blue or silver. Not sure how it looks on black ti cars.
My trim is fading/getting foggy as well and I might consider it. My problem is that I have the roof rails and would have to do those as well or it would look funny. That said, if I were to do roof rails, I’m assuming that actually using them would rip/eat into the wrap.
I also don’t know if it would look good to have the trim, grill and rails all black. Tough decision.
And I’m not in the country on the 22nd but I’m assuming he would be able to take me on another day with an appointment.
Anyone else doing an Avant with roof rails?
Esoteric from AZ, who has signed up, said that he wants to have his done. But he has a 2011 A4 Avant, that has the rails that dont have a gap under them.
For roof rails, I always assumed that the way to go would be to remove them and have them powdercoated. However, I think that is a big job, as you have to remove the headliner and possibly other stuff.
On German eBay (ebay.de) and UK eBay (ebay.co.uk) there are always black roof rails for C5 S6s and RS6s. You may want to check there for a cheap set for your car. That way you get factory finish and a part to swap, rather then have sent out for powder coating.
In regards to wrapping them and actually using them, maybe conatact Andre and see what he says. I use mine quite a bit, so I wouldnt have them wrapped. Yours are the type that have a gap under them, like the C5 S6s, so I would think you would be in the same boat as me. Wrapping might work better on the new ones that have no gap under them.
And yes, I think Andre could accommodate you on a different date. He added BT to the GB even though he went earlier.
