seems like the revo car by increasing timing and keeping boost down, is not suffering from increased IAT’s but yet it does not have a smaller pulley so its apples to oranges. it would be interesting to see a stage 2 revo car if that were to ever exist.

how about you get all three cars to line up and race and put it on video. Tsivas, i love what you are doing with the logs but it is not really telling us the whole story.

That’s why we have the pbox thread going too. I can try and do a comparison of all three cars from lower speeds if u want. But it’s hard to line up three cars where we are and get a good video out of it. Also - one is DSG which as we see on the pbox graphs loses no speed between shifts. Pete is a faster shifter than me and I have no desire to shift that fast or violent.

again the pbox isnt telling me much man, sorry but the only way i can really tell is lining them up. forget the revo car then, save him for when another dsg car comes along, maybe me. how about a pete vs richi race once he figures out his cps issue? both very similarly equipped cars, both fast shifters, both cars are black to boot. i know richi is down

lining up on a highway isnt bad. i have a stretch of road by me if anyone wants to make the trip

Yeah he had mentioned doing APR Pulley/Revo combo. Was making ridiculous power “per him” on the dyno.

Here’s a question…

If a b8 s4 runs a Revo race gas file, on excellent 110 octane fuel, and also runs an APR pulley with it, what will happen

A) 11 second glory
B) 12 second sad faces
C) 12 second sad faces + catastrophic engine failure + maybe transmission failure for good measure + a face palm

If it is C, what do we think caused the catastrophic engine failure. Or, I mean, what could cause it (since this is only hypothetical).

Boost and power levels that the cast rods can’t handle?
Timing levels that the cast rods can’t handle?
Boosted power and timing working together to kill the car?
Piston failure?

Why do you ask. I’ve ran that exact setup, except it was with VP109 not 110oct. No engine failure car was faster then ever.

customer of ours, hes not really on the forums. he has piggies and milltek cat back. im trying my hardest to get him to step up to a real exhaust. recent tune, just flashed him couple of weeks ago and installed Stage 4 Clutch and Flywheel as well

i raced him when he had an apr tune and i put a length on him even though he got the jump on me. hes jhm now and i stand no chance stock

you raced him with him having piggies and APR and clutch and you beat him? that’s pretty impressive for you (how’s his driving?).

He should be kind of a 12.4-12.6 @ 109-110 car with piggies and APR tune. Comfortably.

No, i raced him bone stock (i dont consider a milltek catback much more than that) other than APR tune. He did the piggies, tune, and clutch kit at once two weeks ago. i drove his recently and it is a monster. his driving isnt bad actually. i wouldnt call him great but he is above average.

Edit - i did measure the Milltek to show him, same exact diameter as stock dp’s…pathetic
