Aviva probably would have been better off going with GMG in the first place. Branding goes a long way but then again, the mob (AR) would have caught up and demanded proof. I’m sure there are handfuls of customers who don’t use the forums. I see Stasis selling their rebranded VF TVS2300 kit to blind R8 owners all day.
GMG has many RS4 Customers, and a world class shop and race team. They asked to carry the AMD SC.
GMG sometimes names and customizes performance parts they carry.
Jake, it hasn’t changed hands. It is a collaboration of work, despite what it is called.
AMD has been part of the concept, simulations, CAD, machining, tuning and benchmarking. AMD’s dedication, and hard-work is intertwined into every part.
Marketing, is another part of the equation.
Customize? I don’t think anything has changed with that kit.
They also carry the APR kit. Why change one name and not the other? Again, it’s to sell more kits. The majority of their customers aren’t on the forums. They are probably not going to buy an unknown brand but if they switched the name around to the world renown GMG, you might sell some kits lol. Seems like the logic there.
Again, these are just my assumptions and opinions. Pls don’t take it to heart Jonathan. I just thought it was interesting to change the name of your supercharger kit if you worked so hard on getting it developed and to make a name for yourself. Something I don’t see APR or JHM doing.

The design images and literature are verbatim from the product description page.
There are a few small logos engraved in different parts of the kit and hardware ( part numbers, ect. ) that wouldn’t be changed either.

There are no large brands or logos on the hardware, I feel the design should speak for it’s self, not have loud branding when you open your hood. I did not change the name of the system, it still the same.
I doubt they even know who you are. What makes more sense here is you called them asked them to carry it and said they could black lable the kit. Its not a secret that AMD was the worst thing you could have done for your product and name. Knowing a big brand like GMG is a way better name then AMD is smart…
Don’t let jonathan fool you. GMG didn’t call him asking for this kit. They got a good deal jonathan realized AMD is a dead end and the end of his chances of selling this kit.

You didn’t do anything…GMG isn’t even showing your name any where in the kit or refrence to you. Keep telling yourself whatever you want. It makes sence what I said because its the truth… GMG never came to you and asked for this kit. You were smart and realized that you have sold almost no kits with AMD and wont unless you continue to give them away. So you got smart and probly begged GMG to carry this and they could have full rights.

So are people getting the charger with different tuning? The tuning IMHO should be the biggest concern to customers considering not many have successfully tuned these cars.

Does Per have HP+ considering his boost levels are 16+?

You have a sharp memory. The kit is offered with the option of being tuner agnostic. I would highly recommend against it, since the AMD and UM have really dialed in some amazing features.
PSI on a positive displacement supercharger depends on many variables. Per is HP. There are no cars setup ad HP+ right now.

Last time this Fast Intentions kit was discussed, the story was that you developed it for Fast Intentions (according to killer00S4 aka burningcoals, who was quoting you). Then those posts were quickly deleted.
Thats why I wasn’t able to find them. It seems jonathan takes credit for being there when projects happening as benig part of it.
