good point.
they launch so damn well at the strip I go to usually (the C6 Z cars). I love watching them.
Great noise, widebody, fuckingfast = heavenly.

ever driven one? Its an interesting experience coming from the very sit up position in the Audis. Granted I’m at least 8" shorter than you so I don’t know if that translates over.
but definitely a very fun car to drive, the powerband is incredible, it never feels like it cant just start running away. My brother’s tuner did one with a very mild cam, 108mm fast im and tb and I believe thats it. It had the most ridiculously flat and high torque curve, the owner was a very serious road racer and wanted the tune to be very predictable.
the position I’m in when driving my S4/RS4 is pretty sports car like being 6’5" and having the seat reclined to the point I can spit watermelon seeds out the back window. You can have a look here at the no cut view of the car…i’m WAY back there lol.

I know what you mean though. I did sit in the special edition one at the most recent auto show with the new seats and it was pretty laid back…not exactly confidence inspiring though being down that low when the car is that big and wide and long in the face…and you can’t see the corners. In order to sit ‘up’ I’d need to blast a hole in the roof like Dino.
I can’t drive mid-engined cars because you can’t recline the top of the seat enough for my head to stay in the car. In an NSX two weeks ago, with the seat as far back as it could go, my head was at a 90 degree angle to my neck in order to fit in.
So 911 for me if I ever go the sports car route. I’m going to have a friends Modena later this summer (Spyder) so that’ll be interesting.
it’s been raining here. it’s Washington…
lol good point.
