Yes’ I am in the same boat. Tony stopped replying to emails weeks ago. His explanation for the disconnected phone number was the fact they are moving shops and Verizon “screwed them” with the transfer. I asked a different forum member who knows him personally for his contact info and he was not allowed to give it out. I then asked him to give Tony my number again personally and have him call, text, or even return an e-mail. Weeks go by and multiple emails day after day with no reply.
At this point I was left with no choice but to ask his “acquaintance” to pass along a message that if I don’t hear back from Tony immediately I would call the credit card company and dispute the purchase. Few minutes later I get a call I am not able to take from a blocked phone number. Few seconds later a get a voice mail “This is Tony from PES Tuning, sorry I missed you, I will try again later” no more, no less. With at big of a company as PES has become you would think the logical thing would be to leave a call back number. I then asked him to tell Tony again, that if I do not get a valid phone number I will proceed with the claim. Two days go by and nothing happens.
This morning I file a claim with e-bay/paypal, which is where I purchased the kit about 6 weeks ago. Immediately I get another call from a blocked phone number with the exact same voice mail and no contact info. This was then followed by an e-mail asking if this was actually my real number and for a time to call me back. Clearly, Tony does not want his phone number out there for the public. At this point I have asked him to not try to contact me at all from blocked numbers with pointless voice mails and communicate anything he has to say directly through the e-bay/paypal claim where everything could be documented.
I’m done playing games with this guy. The shop has moved, the phone number is disconnected, and the only times I seems to get a response is when I threatened to contact the CC/PayPal.
