Retail is $13k, but this was discounted down to $6k? Might have been an attempt to pocket some unsuspecting customers’ cash before exiting the business . . .
PSIaddict, were you ever a member on A5oc? name sounds familiar.
Maybe you should warn the guys over there. I tried to warn them about the PES scam artists 3 years ago and PES joined on as a sponsor and paid the site owner to ban me and delete my posts.
Welcome to the forum. You’ll find it much more technical here then Audizine the members are also very helpful.
It is good the deal has fallen through. Doing a search will show the PES m90 supercharger actually makes very little power. In the S4 application spending less money on JHM headers, full exhaust and tune constantly provided better results the the PES supercharger did.
I inquired about M112 after the purchase and just got a “no” for a reply basically. He assured me that it will make 500+hp with his new remapped software they just developed. Had an appointment set up for beginning of May for the install and dyno time at a very busy shop. Doesn’t really matter at this point I guess.
It’s funny…on A5oc an engineer came into the thread to answer some questions on behalf of PES from either Harrup or Magnusson or Eaton (can’t remember…whoever it was is the company that was supplying PES with the supercharger)
I straight out asked him about the CFM (Cubic feet per minute) of air input capabilities of the Eaton M90 supercharger as modified for PES. I had read the compressor maps wiht some help from beemercer, a chem engineer. Anyway, the engineer himself in the thread admitted that the M90 could not move enough air to make the power claims that PES was making…and all hell broke loose. the thread was quickly edited (I mentioned already that PES was paying the site as a sponsor and controlling content).
So let’s recap
the compressor map supplied by Eaton showed that the M90 couldn’t make much more than 430-440 hp
the data supplied by magnusson and harrup also showed that the MP90 couldn’t make more than 440 hp
the engineer from magnusson or harrup CONFIRMED that the MP90 couldn’t make more than 440 hp
the acceleration data we have from all cars that had the M90/MP90 showed that the car was performing like a car making around 420 hp
Yet PES showed a dyno of 525 hp and 475 tq. What…a fucking…joke.
No amount of tuning or changes would ever make the m90 flow enough to make 500 anything.
You didn’t miss out on the m112, especially when you see it’s results. This’ll really show you just how bad the m90 is when you see how it’s bigger counterpart faired against the jhm unit. Knowing the m90 will make considerably less power than the m112 I think we can all see why PES might be out of business. When you figure the lack of power and lies told to customers about horsepower. It’s amazing they haven’t been taken to court.
Always good to have these things settled properly. It’s sad to see PES go this way. After many years of not delivering any significant power with the m90 and even with the m112 they look like they might have actually found a blower that’s not too small for the newer cars.
