Perfect match to the rocketman time with the Apr kit, which is what we figured would be a ‘success’ for a base kit.

Now get um to tune some tial b5 cars. Maybe my ‘where are all the fast epl tuned cars’ thread from last year will make more sense to some of the blind fan boys who raged on me as a hater.

Based on the built in comments about traction I’m assuming bad launches. The car should be good for 1.75 all day. So some left on the table likely.

Jason still cant decide if he’s experienced or not. Imagine what the car would do if he would listen to some people?

It would be interesting to go dig up those arguments on t.o.f. about undersized blowers. It’s pretty laughable now, but I recall in 2009 those arguments being pretty heated.

This seems to be the dissorder with amd people…an 11.36 isnt anything like a 10 second pass. People who actually go that fast know that. Ur 4 tenths of a second off a solid 10 second time…

Im mot saying that throwing more heat at the car and better driving cant get you more but lets hold the the reality train for you…

Gotta disagree with you on the 10 second point. Looks like this kit and the tts kit could go 10’s but not in its daily driver form. For 10’s you would require a proper race tune, race gas fully stripped and stickies. There’s no question they would 10’s doing the above mentioned

how are you disagreeing? He just said that its retarded to call a car a 10 second car before it runs 10.something. That’s like Usain Bolt showing up in London last August and expecting them to give him the medal without running the race because he is faster than everyone. They put the medal around his neck AFTER he wins. Not before.

Further, what’s the point of stripping an RS4 to achieve a quarter mile time? That’s a bit hollow in my opinion. Fine if it’s for fun, but if you’re a shop setting a benchmark to show what your product does to someone’s RS4, why do so in a form that nobody drives in day to day?

The beauty of running 11.36 @ 126 or 11.42 @ 125 as your car did, is that you arrive at the track in the car, run it without changing fuel or tires or pulling the interior like a ricer, then drive it home and to work the next day. That is awesome.

p.s. that 0.06 that they beat you buy could be made up by removing the babyseat and the rear seat bench from your car (you had a babyseat and full interior…AMD had no babyseat and had the rear seat bench removed). Who owns your car now? :slight_smile:

Do we know what rpm and boost levels these cars are both running.

Also it’s nice to see the strip results for this past week. Out of pure interest what did the big kit run the first time at the track and what has changed since then?

No information being shared on that yet. Rumours? Plenty

low boost = 9-10 PSI (from the car owner RS4per)
high boost = 15+ PSI (from the kit designer, posted on the forums)

Strip results on the 1.0 car were confirmed as low 12s by a couple of guys who saw the car…however the owner of AMD sent me a profanity and insult laced PM message that claimed they matched APR’s 11.8 but went 121 MPH

RPMs = 8700 RPM according to the owner of AMD if I’ve interpreted this right (stock rev limiter is 8200)

Sorry I think your misunderstanding me here, the cars as they stand are not 10 second cars. No chance but doing the things I mentioned then I reckon they will safely go into the 10’s. imo they’ve not beat my record saki they stripped the car doesn’t matter by how much but in my eyes its defeats the purpose as you say. I could have done all the stuff I listed but didn’t see any point as the car was my DD. a lad in Manchester now owns it, rather ironic actually. I sold my rs4 to him after he’s just sold his gtr and I’ve went the other way

I agree as I ssid. These are not 10 second cars. Sure the amd car was stripped down a bit and after thinking abkut it and talking to some people im not sure we know just wyat they had to do.

What makes mo sence to me is this…the csr is just loud comment…thats one of the single dumbest things ive heard…if you put a 3inch dp and a 2.5 catback on 4 rs4 cars they are all going to sound the ssme…its not like your going to get one car that is … just louder then the others…makes no sence but either do 90% of lies the amd crew tell…its hard to keep track of thrm all…the car in thr video seemed way to loud to have what they clsimed…maybe dumps or maybe more was removed from the car then we have been told…

Thats another thing with amd…they have been cought liying so mamy times you never know…they had a b5 that they keep claiming was 93 when it was 93+ some absene amount of methonal…who knows with them anymore. …I would just say scratch the importance of it and give em props for thr 11.4

What’s with the epic amount of blue grey smoke coming out of the RS4 at 1:37??? And no that’s not tire smoke or burnout smoke. It’s from the RS4. Did they do a diesel swap?

May have another engine pull for ‘oil leak’ coming up lol.

Best part about this? Jason@AMD was trash talking JHM because their development car, an RS4 JHM actually owns, had its motor pulled. As part of JHM’s normal development process they push the car, then tear it down to see how it held up. I guess this is a concept foreign to AMD, what with them practicing on owner’s cars (woodi, RS4per). Anyway, Jason kept making snarky comments about how his kit is running great and no smoke! (a reference to the JHM car). His theory was that they blew the motor with their supercharger. The funny thing is he PMd that to me as if it would be bad for JHM lol. I just told him what would be surprising about that? They blew 3 motors on the California B6 S4 while developing their supercharger, and blew a motor on their Detroit B6 S4 while developing the turbo kit. That’s what they do…test on their cars, not ours.

Launch Control. Throttle Wide open, full enrichment + under boost, Cut Spark.
It does it on the short blip, and then the extended RPM set point.
