Richi, I don’t think there’s much to being good at the quarter mile. We can all drive reasonably well. Heck you had a good 60 foot time of 1.87 seconds. Unless you suddenly forgot how to shift, I’m not sure there’s a ton more in it.
didn’t you run that time at like DA -1000 feet?
Anyway, if someone wants to say the quarter mile results from richi don’t show the product well (maybe we won’t mention EuroCode running high 12s on their car with an excellent driver) then what has shown the headers to be ‘proven’? Dyno results? lol. Even if we do, again, the 20 whp etc. can just about be explained by the catalytic converter change.
I can’t see why anyone would buy these things.
How about this pbox list. Any headers cars on it? oops…
Stage 2 V2 APR MT6 car with headers/intake/CPS/exhaust in the winter did 60-130 in 12.66
stage 2 V2 APR MT6 car with just an intake in the winter did 60-130 in 11.6
So we have a gap of about 1.0 second…both in good DA…both on the same night. That’s only one shift, so I don’t think we can blame Richi’s driving for that. Heck a few other cars matched that headers car in the summer temps.
Any other headers results?
There’s one on the stock tune. Ran the same night as a bone stock car. Let’s look at that.
bone stock DSG 16.43,
exhaust headers intake DSG 16.46
So, $5,000 in exhaust and intake work, most notably the headers, adds up to…slowing you down 3 hundredths of a second.
