I test drove a TTRS. This is not good… For my wallet atleast lol
;D
Can’t wait!
Lucky bastard!
I found a 2012 Panther Black with Nav and Sports Exhaust. Sticker was 62,500 I believe. The last 3 buyers fell through. Car has been sitting on the showroom floor for 4 months.
They were will to do $57K on the car and $36K for my car in stock form.
Something to really consider, however I don’t know if I’m ready to make the jump just yet. Love the S…
If I do get it though I will go full APR Stage 2 right away lol
To my eye, that looks like a good deal - $20k to change up to an RS car whose potential and exclusivity far exceeds the B8 S4.
I also saw you offer to trade your B8 for that APR supercharged B7 RS4 on QW. I thinks you are itching for an RS car again!
That’s a very fair price… Trade in seems low but not sure on your miles and condition…
I’ll be stage II as well but want to put some miles on and then do mod by mod comparisons… Gonna be fun…
Yeah man! It’s an extraordinary car. Felt unbelievable. Like a mini Porsche Turbo.
Yeah man I’m itching for an RS again. Lol
I’d like to get 39k stock and 41k for my car with mods.
My car is in mint condition, literally perfect. However I do have 66k miles which lowers the value slightly.
66k miles? :o that trade in value actually seems about right then.
I’m most likely going to keep the S4 go Stage 2 and see how it is, enjoy it for a little get some numbers out of it and go back to stock or sell with mods. I take care of the car and it’s really never ever launched or WOT in lower gears. Highway pulls IMO do no damage to the car so there’s no abuse.
Have u checked the blue book value for your car as a trade-in?
Make th jump. If I didn’t have a need for four doors and a useable trunk, I would definitely have a TTRS as a DD. ;D
Qft
Yeah it’s about 33-35k for trade in excellent condition
Your tempting me man…
Ron: have you gotten an insurance quote on the TT yet? Cheaper than S4 or more expensive??
Pete, Yeah it will only be about $250 more a year for me… Keep in mind I am much older than you, married, bundle car and house, and get discounts for not having a ticket in 12+ years, wife and I have masters degress, etc. We currently pay about $1,300 a year for full coverage on my S4, A4, and her A4, with liability on my Jetta… The S4 is tagged as a part time vehicle as will the TT-RS be… So it may be a tough comparison as I think you are in your early 20’s so I’m sure your rates are much different as I know mine were at that age… One of the few benefits of getting older=lower car insurance! LOL
My bundled insurance is really cheap too. That being said, I wouldn’t let a slight insurance change be a deterrent to buying such a fun car. If you can swing the cost, definitely get it now. Your lifestyle in the future may not allow it.
Pete, You sure on the sticker price? I just built one on the Audiusa site and below is what I came up with:
Car - $57,200
PB paint - $1,075
tech pack - $3,500
exhaust - $1,500
dest. charge - $895
TTL - $64,170
At 57K that is over 11% of msrp… I thought I did good at 5% + owner loyalty but man that is a smoking deal really… Wondering if I should have bought one of a lot somewhere… Good luck either way…
I don’t know where you’re getting that. I see 31k for excellent condition, including the prestige package options. Basically what I’m trying to say is that, if you are thinking about getting rid of the S4 for an RS car, take that trade-in deal!! I’ve never seen a dealership offer $5k MORE than the KBB value for excellent condition. That’s a steal.
KBB is sketchy some times though. I would get the Red Book (or whatever the American equivalent is).
We have that here and it summarizes sales data for wholesale, retail and private trades for each car, each year. Updated monthly for a $20 little book.
auditude I would say keep the b8 S4. It’s such a good car, so practical and you literally just got it. Flipping cars makes your hair grey and your wallet light. As much of a deal as you think you’re getting, when you sit back and calculate your ownership costs per year, you’ll be shocked. You may just say ‘why the fuck didn’t I just buy an R8 and keep it for 4 years’.
Is the 12 TTRS used with a few thousand miles on the clock? If not, that does seem like a really great deal for a brand new one and an equally aggressive trade in price. I may need the info on that dealer if you decide to pass.

Sticker was $62,770.00. It did not have the Sport Exhaust as I thought. It’s a 2013, Panther Black with Tech Package.
At first they offered me 1k off with loyalty, then he took off another 2k without me saying anything lol… He’s like the last 3 buyers flaked and we’ve had 0% interest in the car. The sales guy was an older dude- big time enthusiast. Told me to put a roll cage in it and take it to APR. Lol.
Finally after some haggling back and forth he told me 57k for the TT and 36k for my car. I’m going to go back on Monday and perhaps to a 24 hour test drive.
