I thought this car was supposed to be dead? JHM 10 second B5 S4 content...

Someone sent me a link to a facebook conversation featuring the usual morons bitching about JHM…claiming they blew the motor on their B5 now (I guess after the 24/7 hater crew getting OWNED for telling lies about JHM blowing the motor on their B7 RS4, they thought they’d try to pick on the the JHM 10 second B5 S4?)

Anyway, I thought it was funny that JHM posted this video today in California. As we know it has been a drought out there, and just rained the last couple of days, so this is obviously fresh.

What’s next? They going to claim JHM blew the motor on Jake’s B7 A4 2.0T now? Or maybe the shop Toyota 4 runner?

Wonder what product is being tested? Clutch?

And not that I doubt or care if their car that’s run through the ringer finally (if at all) reached its breaking point, but I don’t really see how anything was proved or disproved by this video.

Good for stirring the pot any way

My gosh those motors sound so good.

Too bad they’re the slowest Audi motor in the universe. Actually the slowest motor period. Right behind any motor with Ebwerks parts.

Right!? Turbos are spooling nicely!

Too bad the B5 is a pos…hahaha :-X

pretty sure that’s cgi

Sometimes I just don’t understand the mentality of these self proclaimed “Enthusiasts” or “Shop Owners”. Kudos to the kid that posted it up that he went about asking for information the correct way and not spreading lies and rumors like the majority of people. Also doesn’t that Scott guy sell JHM products on his website? He seems like a right out straight type of guy! ???

Yeah I can’t quite figure that Scott guy. Or Scotty. Advanced automation or something?

He specialises in b5 s4 transmission rebuilds but is not very good at it. We have seen dozens of stories of his ‘rebuilt with new parts’ failing prematurely. JHM also rebuilds transmissions and eats his lunch I imagine so no surprise that he wants to troll them.

He has been owned for outright lying numerous times.

He is always talking up his capabilities but at the end of the day he’s just another one man who with a chip on his shoulder about the companies who are successful. All of these guys were one man shops 5-7 hears ago, JHM included. Now JHM has revenues in the multi millions, has 10+ employees and is doing very well…so losers like jason@amd and Scott who are still in the same dead-end, one-man business they were 5 years ago try to tear them down.

Most recently on this site scott signed up here with two accounts. One under his normal name and one with some troll account. The site owner noticed and banned the second account. When I asked Scott he denied it. When I posted the name of the second account in a reply to him, he disappeared and has not been back. You’re a fucking business owner…you’re not one of the 17 year old kids who own a b5 s4 and troll on Facebook. Grow up.

Whoa - I went to grade school with one of those guys on Facebook.

If.it’s a b5 guy he is probably still in grade school…the funny part is…jhm is beating the crap out of there car for years and years testing and testing…isn’t this what the community should want…If jhm hurts a motor it only beits the same peopl who are trying to make this a bad thing…that’s kinda the jhm way…they blow it up so you don’t…how many amd cars blew up that were never even close to this fast…not just that but how many b5 guys blew up there car because they didn’t goto jhm…after all the drama and 4years the turbos are still alive. Isn’t that what the people care about.

Looks to me like dead end shops like Scotty and the other Kids are just interested in drama.

Agree. I don’t understand most of the shit starters and bashing. It’s an odd thing.

“Fucking JHM, blew up their motor!” What idiots, blah, blah, blah…their parts suck, blah, blah, blah. We want them to answer the same questions over and over, blah, blah, blah.

Reminds me of Nicholson and Cruz in a Few Good Men. You want answers? I want the truth. You can’t handle the truth!

Same could be said for the age demo that frequent Facebook IMO.

Yes, if you’re confused why these guys freak out that JHM pushed the motor on their in house car to the point they had to start over, don be.

The whole concept of blowing a motor or even just pushing it hard and tearing it down and not liking what you see is foreign to these kids, and the one man show shit-shops that talk trash. Why? because financially, this would literally destroy their financial situation, or their business. The kids/one man shops frankly can’t afford another motor, so the whole concept must mean it’s a huge error. They can’t grasp the concept of JHM deliberately going through this with their in house car.

As we know however:

  1. JHM does this to their in house cars, not customer cars, so who cares

  2. JHM does this in some cases (not this one) on purpose to see what the cars can handle, and what is safe

  3. JHM in this case pushed the motor and the turbos past 30 PSI, and the car STILL kicked ass. It didn’t blow up. There was no catastrophic failure. There was no disaster. When JHM were tearing it down they found that one of the processes they (or their chosen machine shop which is still on JHM) had used wasn’t sufficient. So they will improve.

I think it’s absolutely comical for these losers to think this is bad. JHM are spending 10s of thousands of dollars as part of their development process. This is not a customer’s car. This is not some guy in Texas who they sold up shit creek. This is their own fucking car.

Unfortunately that machine shop Jason used did not give the clearances he had asked for, and we found out the hard way (5 years of abuse later). The good thing is that was the one and only time Jason used that machine shop because he was trying them out back in 2009. We still and continue to use the same machine shop that specializes in race engines that Jason has been using for 15+ years, before he was into developing performance parts for Audi.

I think the funniest part of it all, was that we continued to beat on that B5 even with the issue for quite a while before we tore it down.

Do you guys remember the JHM Tuner Spotlight video?

http://youtu.be/QhuyFGzSgcM?t=6m48s

At the end of the video (linked above) is a clip of Jason launching the B5 (we launched it over 6 times to get the best footage) all while our engine was “blown”.

Yep, the usual. Good point about the tuner spotlight video. Funny shit.

The next question is…does JHM bother building the B5 motor again?

Extremely common for machine shops to make a mistake. They are always the wild card of any motor build, unless you go to a place that speciallizes in that particular block.

I’ve found Facebook can be littered with the age demo that doesn’t get it. I too am struck why jhm would get negative press for pushing their car to its limitations. This is something I enjoy about jhm. They’re testing products under hard conditions that you’d not likely exceed.

Clearly not JHM shop car… No cheap reiger front bumper no carbon fiber hood no volk wheels no carbon fiber trunk so clearly not the 10 sec jhm shop car

hahaha, Dickbeater, where you been bud?

The question is…did you make any 10sec passes this summer? or did you finally abandon that shit box and buy a GTR like a baller?

that’s the car. Jason ditched the rice stuff a while ago. Saw it when I was there. The volks were on their B6 S4 last year. I should see if I have any pics. You can see other videos at JHM that show the car parked with the JHM B6 and JHM S5, RS4, 2.0T, 3.0, and employee cars.

Ya its the car. Have seen it in that state as well. Back in April at the shop. Lol!

volks are back on now’a days ha. He was rocking them on the B6 S4 for a while and had some B6 S4 stockers on the B5.
