Here are a couple pictures of the RS6-R Terminators after the single redline pull in 3rd gear for logging. This was the first push passed 4000 RPM as the engine was being broken in for 1000 miles beforehand. One turbo is obviously worse than the other.
Zero, your picture descriptions confuse me? Those bottom three pictures show side by side comparisons of terminators and R’s. One of each on left and right. The second is not only terminators but side by side comparison. The very bottom picture does not depict a set of R’s but rather another side by side comparison of each, no?
I’ll look closer tomorrow. I just received the pictures and posted them online. If I’m mistaken as to what each image represents, you have my apologies.
Were those RS6R-T’s not evenly torqued on the compressor housing after clocking? There is definitely an offset in that first pic regardless of camera angle.
DLO is that you darius? ‘Turbo guru’ present here lads darius is the man in Europe when it comes to turbos on our cars very lucky to have him post on here if it is him!
I looked at that as well. First I thought maybe machiene work but you can tell by the pitch catch that it appears the covers are not centered up. If someone went to clock the turbo and didn’t properly loosen and adjust the bolts you can get the wastegate pulling the cover most people don’t set the turbos right. Generally what you see on poor made china stuff is a different blade interference. Seems the pitch is offset.
oh well you have the real deal RS6-r now. Deff see a big difference between the two
Not Darius, hope I’m not disappointing. I have no affiliation regarding employment/ownership in the automotive aftermarket, just another enthusiast I reside in TX
It sounds like Jason is really thinking the car will be back in my driveway in two weeks. I have three people, including Jason, who are hard core track addicts waiting to take this car down the quarter mile at PBIR. I know the initial tune will be “light” but I’m anxious to see what the car can do.
