JBones's Silver Bullet B6 S4

still can, no?

Race gas race gas race gas. This cold weather is nice but protect ur car w8th rwce gas.

This morning I finished the last of the break in mileage. I am so GLAD that is over because it was torture! The car is all prepped and ready to go to the strip on Sunday. It looks like a few other people here are going to different tracks for the last day of the season too, which is cool.

Saki, just because I like the R-series pressure plate and 5R disc doesn’t mean some of the weenies on Audizoo would be willing to put up with it. It is a little harsh and having coordinated feet is very helpful. To get a smooth start from a stop with no noise in first gear, it is almost easier to drop the clutch and give it gas. The ceramic disc doesn’t like to be slipped so if I am trying to just creep forward then I get a ERRRUET noise like squeaking windshield wipers. By the way, I drove my C5 A6 today to get ready for work and it was amazing how numb that car feels to the S4. At first I thought the clutch was broken because my foot was beating the pedal so badly.

Euro, it is looking like a cold day with a high of 34-37. Which should be awesome. The freaking weather guessers can’t make up their minds.

Everybody, thank you for the kind words.

JB. impressive to see how you bounce back from all this. I have to take a big second here on the better gas. In the cooler temps the blower will run better. I would be safe and get some good fuel in there. If race gas isn’t easy to find go get Toluene. Mix in 35% to your standard gas. Its better then pump alone and it will help.

Damn man, I’ll actually be up in Frederick next Sunday…I would have came and shot some video for you

Update: Atco dragway closed that day. So I started getting the car ready for winter until some old friends talked me into going out to Oakland/San Francisco Cali.

Well after four days and 3K+ miles of driving I ended up here:

While on the way there I stopped at a few cool places. One of them was the Corvette factory in Bowling Green KY. I lucked out in that I made the only tour that they let through because of a parts supply issue before shutting down for the holidays. All my life I have been a Ford fan but I really wanted to see the C7 Stingray at the Washington DC Auto Show and they didn’t bring it there.

Another was the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The bet that I made in the casino covered most of my traveling expenses too - YAY! I know that we have some UFC fans here so I thought that you guys would like this:

I made the whole trip without any issues and didn’t burn a drop of engine oil. Hell, I even got decent gas mileage along the way while sticking to the 55-75 mph speed limits. Hope that all you guys have a happy holidays.

SO should we expect some epic Sacramento runs? with a fleet of 3-letter company FI cars?

Wow jbones. My favourite build thread just got better. JHM sent you their cherished child, a supercharger for the B6 S4. You have nurtured it, installed it with your own sweat and blood and now you return to California to show its creators what it is capable of.

Amazing bounceback!

We shall see if they are up to it. Sacramento is open on Saturday 12-28-2013.

Thanks Bongo.

It was great to meet you today, James!

It was great to meet all of you guys today! I really enjoyed the ride in Dan’s RS4.

Here is the picture that Dru took of my car on the lift. I need to get the car washed just a little bit.

what kind of tires are those?

also you should go back to JHM if it’s not too far. Get them to check the car over, log it, and do some pulls against Jay’s b6.

From his build thread lazy ass… http://audirevolution.net/forum/index.php?topic=995.msg24218#msg24218

Let me guess, you think they look meaty…haha

Not a bad idea. First I need to go to the gas station that Jay and Keaton told me about for some race gas because this 91 octane sucks. Also am downloading a octane calculator too.

I just looked at the date when I first posted the pics of my wheels and tires. That feels so long ago.

Just a look under the hood or some more parts going in?

Maintenance. I needed an engine oil+filter and SC oil change.
